The panel is engineered with high-quality single pane, tempered glass, sturdy vinyl framing, and a weather-resistant locking plastic cat flap.
The spring-loaded top allows for simple, non-permanent installation in a matter of minutes, making it perfect for renters and homeowners alike.
Each panel has a 3-inch adjustment range to accommodate any window height.

Quick & Easy Installation:
Apply Additional Weatherstripping
Reinforce the energy efficiency value by applying additional, adhesive weather stripping along the edges of the panel.Weatherstripping is not included with purchase.
Adjust Spring-Mechanism
Loosen the height adjustment locks at the top of the panel with a screwdriver.Loosening or tightening the screws make the panel taller or shorter to fit snugly into your window frame.
Insert into Slider Track
Insert the panel by the top adjustment piece first, pressing up to compress the spring, then inserting the bottom. Gently release. Tighten the adjustment piece screws to lock the panel at the perfect height.
Lock Your Window
You can install a c-clamp at the bottom of your window track to prevent intruders from opening your window. You can also use a charley-bar or dowel. To permanently install your panel, you can screw it into the track with a drill. This is not recommended for renters.
Find Your Flap Size
Measure your cat to ensure that the flap is at least 1″ above the highest point of their back (this may be their shoulders, mid-back, or tailbone).Please ensure that your pet is comfortable stepping over both the step-over and the extra distance between the window level and the outdoor ground.
Find Your Height Adjustment Range
To find your height adjustment range, measure your window track from the lowest part of the bottom corner of your window up to the highest point of the top corner. Make sure there is nothing blocking your measuring tape from reaching the frame’s corner.Select the height adjustment range that your sliding window track height falls in.
Check Your Track Width
Your sliding window track needs to be at least 1-1/4″ wide to accommodate the Whiskers & Windows Horizontal Window Pet Door.Measure the width of your bottom track to ensure that the panel will fit.

Perfect! Super easy to install! Comes with gray weather stripping
This thing is great! Installed in about 30 minutes. We had previously been leaving our back door cracked open at night so to allow the cat free access in and out. I was debating about getting a pet flap for the back door but didn’t really want to drill the big hole in the door, plus it is an almost entirely glass door and I wasn’t sure there was even enough room for the cat flap below the glass.This fit our sliding glass window perfectly. The spring loaded thing slides into the window track very well.From the product description, it wasn’t clear if this came with any weather stripping, which seemed like a good idea around the edge of it, so I bought some white window stripping to match our white windows. Well, this thing does come with gray weather stripping, about 0.75″ width, which I used for the top, bottom, and side facing the wall. For the side that touches the sliding window, I used the white stripping, which was 0.5″ width, and I think was perfect, as it is slightly visible between the window and cat flap insert thing.Now we just need to get the cat used to using this window door instead of demanding to be let in and out of the back door.

Good quality
The door latch is a little tricky & could be redesigned to be a little sturdier & more secure. We havenât started using this yet but overall we felt the quality was good. If latch fails we will be returning. Note: other comments about latch also.

Lock a problem
Within a week my cats figured how to push the lock open. Within 2 weeks the plastic mechanism got loose from use and doesnât stay in position. I have to tape it into position to make sure my cats can come inside. The rest of the window is sturdy and well made. Spring loaded makes it easy to install and fit.

Great cat door for window
I got a catio for my cats last summer and they love it. I didn’t love that they want to go out there when it’s 38 degrees and won’t take no for an answer. I also didn’t love getting flies in my house with the window wide open.So with spring on the way, I bit the bullet and shelled out $250 for this cat door. My window is 34″ which is the smallest that this panel will go so I was a little concerned. I just received the panel this afternoon and it fits perfectly. I was also very happy to see that it came with a big roll of weather stripping, a nice flathead screwdriver, and a clamp to secure the window. Those little extras made me feel good about this purchase because I didn’t have to buy something new to make it work.I will agree with other reviewers that the locking mechanism on the cat flap is a little flimsy. For me, that wasn’t a big deal since I have very lazy cats so if I lock it, they don’t spend a lot of time messing with it.My smart cat figured out how to use the cat flap right away, but my dumb cat is still figuring it out.Overall, very happy with this purchase and looking forward to a bug free summer.

Great design, terrible cat door lock
The cat door fits into the window pretty well, although the knobs on the front but up against the frame. I put some weatherstripping in and it sealed up pretty nice. It is solid and for well. My biggest complaint is with the cat door locking mechanism. I ordered this because it had the ability to lock the door going in or going out, which worked well for the first few days.After about 3 days of locking the cat in for the night, we found our cat locked outside when we woke up the 4th day. He figured out that he can push the door open past the lock which allows him to go outside, but could not get back in. The locking mechanism on the cat door is terrible. He can push right through it now and is useless.

Great cat door panel to make your cats happier 🙂
My cats love this pet door. I put it in the window which was already their favorite spot to perch and watch birds, so they picked up using it really quickly. Previously, I let them out when I got home from work everyday, but everyone is happier this way :)Things I especially like:- super sleek look, went perfectly with my all white window sill- very easy to install (made my life easier that I had the correctly sized window for the existing adjustable ranges)- magnet on door keeps draft from coming in (important in Seattle) and I can lock flap for when I don’t want them to come in and out (rainy days)Other notes:- I don’t really give my cats treats, so to help them get used to the cat door in the beginning, I taped a piece of clear plastic (Ziploc bag) as a stand-in for a bit. Was able to switch out the hard flap after a day of them going in and out. (Yes, the flap is removable)

It does the job
Upgraded my review to 4 stars. The weather stripping leaves a gap because they chose to use one long strip that curves around the corners. I recommend filling the gaps with clear silicon. Or better yet, use several strips of weather stripping cut to size that interlock at each corner like a normal window. They way they made this is not how windows are sealed.
