Great for letting your cat or small dog in and out of the house when using a screen door.
I ordered this to allow my cats to go in and out of my back porch screen door without pestering me to let them in our out every ten minutes. This works perfectly for that. It was super easy to install, pick a spot on the screen door that you’re pets can get in and out of without ducking or climbing, put two halves on either side of the screen itself, and bolt them together right through the screen. Then all you have to do is cut out the screen in the center of it with a box knife or something similar. I found the quality to be quite sufficient for something that, being mounted in screen, is a light duty application for sure. The frame doesn’t warp, bend, or twist, and the Door stays in place with built in magnets unless it is being used. You can “lock” the door easily, to allow withe no entry, or to allow entry from only one side or the other. I am very happy with mine, it looks great, works great, and the cats and one small dog all figured it out quickly by my just using a piece of duct tape to hold it open about a quarter of the way open for a day, just emoji that they had to squeeze a head in first, and after that they come in and remember how they did it. I think this is an excellent design, and I can definitely recommend it. 5 Stars!

Great alternative to a traditional doggy door
What a great alternative to a cut-out doggy door or a sliding door insert! I have two small dogs who love to go outside, and inside, and back outside all day long. During the nicer months, it’s great to have the sliding door open (and the screen closed to prevent bugs), and this is a great way to let the pups in and out without also letting in the bugs. The installation seems easy enough, but before installing it into the screen, I worked on training my pups to go through the door to see how they fit before I cut a huge hole in my screen. The door flap and magnet, which keeps the door shut, are sturdier than I expected. Honestly, I was surprised at the quality of the door and frame itself. It also looks pretty cool. However, it would be neat if they made a clear plastic option that’s even less noticeable.Unfortunately, one of my small dogs is just a tad too large for this door (he’s 15 lbs). He’s a tiny bull in a china shop and has already busted through our screens twice, so I need to get a larger door to account for my little madman. My other dog (12 lbs) fit perfectly, and while he is very timid, after some positive reinforcement, he enjoyed going in and out through the door.

Good idea!…..Not sure if it will rip the screen or not….. Optimistic tho!
Purchased for our shed cats to have access indoors and out now that the weather is getting warmer. The item came with out the nuts for instalation so I had to purchase some at the store. It is easy to install and does have little pokes inside to adhear to the screen. I am happy the cats can get inside/out with the screen blocking most of the bugs. It is definitely big enough for larger cats (as our big tabby has no issues with it). It also comes with a cute cat toy that was also a big hit.Cons: It is heavy for a big screen door, I was not comfortable hooking it just to the screen. As I was installing the screen it wiggled a lot. We have mulitple cats using the door and honestly I did not trust that it won’t tear. I put a layer of duct tape around where the door secures to prevent ripping.(do not mind the foam in front of the window, it is still cold outside at night)

    Great for small dogs too
I use this to let my daschund dog through the chicken fence. He was quick to learn it and the chickens are too stupid so it’s perfect. Installing is a little tricky, one because chicken wire is not what it was designed for and 2 because its hard to hold both sides in place. You may need two people to install on a screen door. The magnets are a good strength, enough to keep it from flapping but the dog can easily open. Overall it does the job perfectly.

Great idea for screen access, but your cats will determine its success
We were excited about the LIBBEPET Cat Door. Our cats are experienced cat door / cat flap users, so we assumed that they would take to this cat door very well. We installed it into a lower screen panel on our screened porch. The instructions were illustrated and easy to understand. The whole cat door assembly installation was straightforward and relatively easy. The small included screw driver was very nice to have – the screws ARE small. One person can install the cat door, but it would be convenient to have someone else on the opposite side of the screen to hold the tiny nuts in place while they’re being screwed in.It is a compact, sturdy design. The opening is large enough to accommodate the largest of our cats: a chunky 15-pound male.So much for our opinion. What did the cats think? To begin with, they totally ignored the door. We then lifted the door and taped it open so that they could get used to passing through unimpeded. Each cat eventually got brave enough to go in and out through the open door.Next we taped the door just partly open. We encouraged them one by one to come through to the outside. That worked with one cat, but only with treats! (By the way, we have older cats. The included toy was of no motivational interest to them.) We could never get them to voluntarily go through under the lifted door. They would investigate every part of the screen around the door to get out, but not try going through the door. These little characters would rather sit dejectedly on the screened porch all day long rather than challenge that door.As we (or rather our cats!) saw it, the design has these problems:#1 Our cats like to sit at a cat door with a clear flap, looking through, even peeking partially out to see if the coast is clear. (“Is it SAFE out there?”)#2 The broad black diagonal plastic bands on the door flap look like barriers — not a place to go through.#3 When the door is shut, the magnet at the bottom holds it quite tightly. In fact, it is sotight that it is difficult — not impossible, but difficult — for the smallest of our cats to push it open.#4 As the cat passes through the opening, the door has to rest and slide somewhat uncomfortably on the cat’s back.#5 Our cats like to paw at a cat door to make sure that it will open before they push through with their nose or head. When they paw at this door, the screen portion of the door catches on their claws.#6 The door can be conveniently locked. However, to the cat, the “locked” door looks exactly the same as the “unlocked” door. If they need to get through, and it’s locked, they tend to distrust the door the next time.So for us (or our cats), this cat door did not work well. It may be more suited to a small assertive dog than a cautious, timid cat.
