Plastic pet door
My cat loves to spend afternoons on our screen patio. But the sliding doors are left slightly open to allow the cat to come inside for food / water. We live in south Florida; and unfortunately some of our A/C air was escaping through the gap between the doors. We mounted a 6 foot piece of this vinyl strip outside the sliding doors. The strip covers the gap when the doors are slightly open, the cat can get in / out and our A/C bill is lower. Works great – should have done this a long time ago!

Is what it is!
Personally I wasnât too happy with this product. Itâs very stiff plastic and roiled up so it doesnât want to flatten out very well. Might be able to put it in hot water and soak it to get it to flatten out though? Originally I thought this was several narrower pieces that sat side by side like you see in large commercial industrial doors to keep the heat or cold outside from coming in the building. Unfortunately this is just one wide piece of plastic to work with. Not at all what I expected and I wanted a good seal to keep the weather out of my dog house. So I broke down and just bought a doggy door for a home to mount in the doghouse so the door wonât let the cold or heat in/out of the doghouse once the dog either inside or outside the doghouse. But this plastic is certainly the cheapest way to do it if you donât care if the dog door opening isnât sealed off very well? This plastic probably could have other uses too ?

I ordered for dog kennel door openings. I like it okay but I do wish that it came in wider widths and had options for thicker material.

Takes some work to install these but they work
Have to be pretty handy to install these, you have to cut them, it comes as one sheet, then you have to find a good way to tack them on, so a bit of a project, but they work.

We used for a cat door replacement.
Nice and durable. Our cat door is used a LOT during a 24 period. The cats like being able to see out or in before using it and this product is clear. We’ve been 12 degrees recently and this product keeps the cold out and the heat in.

We got this to put in a french door, as we took the bottom middle pane out for our dogs and cats. We could not find a door that would fit where the pane was so we thought we would try this.It works great!!
