Soaking boot
I ordered a medium the first time and it didnât allow enough space for soaking so I ordered a large. Boot is a little big but stays on and allows space for soaking and wrapping.
Makes treatment easier, good value and durable

Goodbye, Diapers & Duck Tape! Hello, Hoof Saver Boot!
Let me tell you, the Hoof Saver Boot has been a game changer! We started out using the classic diaper and duck tape method to wrap my horseâs foot while he dealt with an abscess, and it was a total mess. Enter the Hoof Saver Boot, and suddenly everything got so much easier!
Sure, itâs a little snug getting it on, but once itâs on, it stays put like a champ! Plus, it keeps his foot clean and dry while it heals, which is a huge relief. No more worrying about mud or dirt getting in thereâjust a simple, effective solution that actually works.
This boot is a fantastic addition to any barn! If youâre dealing with hoof issues, do yourself a favor and ditch the duct tape. Youâll be glad you did! Highly recommend!

Life saver!
My mustang had a nasty abscess high up on his hoof that became infected, so I had to keep him wrapped for nearly two months. When wet weather came, I tried this boot for the first time and was amazed at how well it did! Let me tell you it was a total pain to put on my horse, and a frigging nightmare to take off, but it did its job beautifully and stayed put even though my horse tried scraping it off about a zillion times. His hoof stayed dry, and it made wrapping him SO much easier! I’m happy to say it’s worth the time and money to know your horse’s feet will be so well protected. If they could come up with an easier way to get the thing off and on and make the velcro on the strap sturdier so you wouldn’t have to tape it, I’d give it five stars. It really is a tough one and it did its job well.

Fit a giant hoof perrfectly
Horse came up lame and vet advised soaking. It is so much easier to soak in the boot then remove, rinse and put it back on. Turned out to be a huge deep recurring abscess that the poor horse has been dealing with for years. Looks like a previous owner had left packing in her hoof so it kept recurring.
This boot made my life significantly easier. The only thing I don’t like is the velcro doesn’t stick well and the horse will then step on it and tighten it back up.
We are in now at the three week mark and it is holding up great!! This is our second boot = last one was twenty years ago and I still have it. Is a back saver for sure!

Fit
Definitely not big enough to fit a draft horse.

Luna says Excellent
My farrier clipped my mare’s right front hoof a little too much and she seemed fine after a couple of days. However, when she wants attention, she bangs her hoofs on the pipe corral and seemed to re-injure herself by doing this and chasing and bossing my gelding around all day. I bought this to protect her foot since she wouldn’t take it easy on herself for a couple of days. It went on easily and Luna seemed grateful. She seems to be able to remove anything, but not this. I can’t keep a fly mask on her for more than an hour. She has also not destroyed it or damaged it in any way, which is a first. She is turned out 100% of the time and is doing fine with the boot. She has had it on for 3 days and will have it on four a couple more before the farrier comes to check her again. The boot has a great amount of room for adjustment around the fetlock and is well-secured. Luna can’t get it off or it just doesn’t bother her at all or both. I did also put on one of her leg wraps just because it seemed a little less awkward for her to wal normally with the wrap on. Luna says five stars.

Great for injured hooves
I just got a horse off the track and we immediately noticed him limping, turns out he had an abscess in his hoof. I used this to cover the bandage he kept getting off and it worked wonderfully. I also put an epsom salt soak in here with his hoof and it was way easier than trying to get him to stand in a bucket for 10 minutes. I’ll be getting at least one in each size to keep on hand for my other horses.

Junk
Cheaply made. Sizing was the first issue, they run very large. Then it didn’t even last 4 days of use.

Love this boot. Fits most of the horses. East to use.

I had a difficult time finding this boot for purchase, when I happened to see it on amazon.ca. My horse has tender hooves, and I had borrowed a boot a few times from a neighbour. Now I have one for my own horse, and it fits him (small hooves – I purchased a medium). These boots are well-made, easy to use, and even seem to keep warm water warm while soaking.

Used it for a very difficult horse to soak his feet, worked great ð

This boot helped hold my boys poultice wrap on his foot. He is a large for most products but could’ve used a medium boot, but it does itâs job, served the purpose well and stayed on his foot for the time I needed it to. Iâm very happy with this purchase 🙂
