Boy Sees Upset Cow, Tells Mom to Turn Around, And He Was Totally Right

Children often notice things that adults overlook. One ordinary morning, while driving home from breakfast, a young boy named Wyatt asked his mom to pull over. He had spotted a cow in the distance and had a strong feeling that something wasn’t right. Trusting her son’s instincts, his mom—who shares stories online as wranglingmomma—stopped the car, unaware that a little miracle was about to happen.

Wyatt Insists on Turning Back

Wyatt may only be nine, but his heart for animals and strong instincts are impressive. As they continued driving, he couldn’t shake the feeling that the cow needed help. It took a whole mile of convincing, but his persistence finally persuaded his mom to turn the car around. Once they stopped, Wyatt carefully made his way through a barbed wire fence and into the open field to see what was going on.

A Calf in Trouble

Up on a small hill, Wyatt saw the mother cow. Just below, down in a shallow creek, he spotted a baby calf stuck in the mud and unable to climb out. Without wasting a second, Wyatt made his way into the creek. He gently worked with the calf, giving it encouragement and support, and using his own strength, helped it up the side of the bank. Soon enough, the calf was safe and back with its mother—thanks to the bravery and kindness of a determined young boy.
