Effective, low cost, easy to use
After much research I discovered my Tetras had mouth rot. It is a bacterial infection. This product was recommended by the local pet store’s Aquatic Specialist. I checked the reviews on Amazon as well. Maracyn received 4 and 5 star reviews. This product was much cheaper on Amazon compared to the local pet store. Maracyn treats a broad spectrum of gram positive infections. This product comes in pre measured packs. Each pack treats 10 gallons. No measuring and no mess. No worry about over or under dosing your fish. You have to remove all chemical filters before treatment. Maracyn will make your water cloudy. This product also strips your bio filter of good bacteria. You have to use an ammonia reducer (like Prime) because ammonia levels can spike during treatment. Keep an eye on your water. Test your water during treatment. I feel these are minimal side effects to ensure healthy fish. After day 3 the mouth rot was gone. I will complete the 5 day treatment plan as directed. Day 6 you do a 25% water change. Use all new filter media, including chemical media. I use Seachem Stability and Seachem Prime to cycle my aquarium faster, and establish my bio filter. I am very pleased with the results of Maracyn. It treats a broad range of gram positive bacterial infections. This product is easy to use. It is effective. By buying Maracyn on Amazon you will save money. I would highly recommend this product.

Our goldfish of 3 years started bending at the side and getting lethargic. It was the first time this had ever happened and we lost 4 fish. We tried soaking their food before feeding, isolating the sick fish and giving them mushed peas to eat, changing the water, and then feeding them less frequently.Finally I read that it might be a bacterial disease so this was my last hope. It was super easy to use. We followed the instructions and dropped a pack of medicine in everyday for 7 days. We shut off our carbon filters during this time. The medicine overtime made our water look milky. After 7 days, we did a big clean to remove all the medicine water and clean out everything in the tank. Since then weâve had 0 issues and my remaining fish are thriving and weâve had minimal algae growth.Our mystery snails were the only ones who didnât like it. After day 5, when the water was significantly murky, I noticed they climbed above the water and only went down once in a while.

My new betta had something on his eye. This not only cleared it up but I hadn’t realized the discoloration on this head was something to be concerned about as it was there when we got him. He’s looking so good. We only have a 3 gallon tank (I KNOW it’s small it wasn’t supposed to be for the betta but here we are). The online made more sense than the written instructions for smaller tanks.One thing that isn’t mentioned is snails. My tank had nerite snails. I noticed at the 2 hour mark my guys were tucked in his shell and had fallen off the side. So I quickly removed them to another tank. (Thank goodness we had a second tank available). They snails are fine but I was scared.

Worked Fast
Follow the instructions. This worked really fast. One of my storms has popeye and the area around his mouth was bulging. I noticed results within 3 days. Continued through the 5 day dose as recommended.Worth it!Also didnât seem to affect my corals at all.

Saved my koi’s life
I had a koi die from dropsy . Then another one started to show sings as well. I caught it early enough to save it. Mixed one packet in 1 tbsp of water and soaked 2 tbsp of koi food in it till absorbed . the tricky part was getting that particular koi to eat most of it. Kept waiting till she passed by and dropped a little in. Every other day for 10 days. A koi Vet told me about this . Usually can save a pond fish from dropsy ab I couldn’t treat the hole pond
