Very Thin Plastic
Honestly looked used when I got it out of the package or like it was kept next to bird it was dirty. The carrying handle is almost useless it fell off anyway. Rats fall easily inside cage so make sure solid placed. You can see the plastic looks questionable on the seams and like it was used and like it could easily fall apart. I had a cage like this before that was a lot more sturdy I wish I could find it i thought this was it but it’s not. So I’m very disappointed, kind of want to return it probably won’t. Avoid this and buy something else. The plastic isn’t thick whatsoever and if left unattended and bored rats will easily chew through the sides and corners and get free a lot quicker than others it’s just ridiculously thin. They really truly could have made thus more sturdy and in my opinion this doesn’t deserve 3 stars compared to other products.

Plastic sides, not metal
Not what I expected, I expected more metal and less plastic. I haven’t gotten my pet rats yet but so far it seems perfectly good. It took me a bit to figure out how to put it together and seemed flimsy, but after a bit and putting it together it seems nicely sturdy, and was easy to put together.
