Small banana hammock
Our hamster is somewhat larger and this does not work for her. She is too big. She wanted to get in it but immediately knew that it wasnât big enough for her. If she were smaller or gerbil size it would work perfectly. Great value. Easy to hang with the included hooks. Seems soft. Should be easy to clean and appears durable however, I donât know because she can’t use it.

Cheap, Stained, Baby Rats Hate It, but Very Cute
It came with a strong smell, patches of blue dye, and an overall cheap feel to it. Itâs much too small for a Syrian hamster or an adult rat. My rats wonât go in it even when I put treats inside. They immediately rejected it. HOWEVER- itâs really cute. Small, flimsy, and kind of garbage, but a cute idea that was worth trying for the roughly seven bucks I paid for it. If you have mice or a gerbil, Iâd at least give it a shot.

I have an adult rat. I had to cut the stitching a little bit on the top cover to make the hole bigger so she can fit in it easier. She loves it! She sleeps in it all of the time. I like that it hangs so it doesnât take up any floor space in her cage.

Not Durable for Hamsters
I really wanted to love this Smarten Banana Hamster Bed, but unfortunately, my hamster chewed right through the fabric. Itâs cute and cozy, but it doesnât seem to hold up well to chewing, which is a big concern for me. If you have a hamster that likes to chew, I wouldnât recommend this product.

I mean, thereâs a really cute guy in a banana hammock- whatâs not to like?!? ð My baby rats fit well, my dwarf rat will be able to keep fitting. Big boys wonât. Probably best for hamsters or mice or dwarf rats like Mr Pip here.
