PRETREAT BEFORE USE: Natural nutshells, coral driftwoods and pods contain tannins, which need to boil and soak for a week until the tannin is completely released. When placed in the water and water no longer turns yellow, then you can place them in the fish tank for landscaping.
PRETREAT TIPS: It is recommended to boil the nutshells, driftwoods and pods with soda at least 1 hour. Boil or soak it for 3-4 hours. The color will get dark as it will release tannins. Change the water and boil again (recommend 3 times, 1 hour each time) until the tannins get completely released. Then soak in clean water for a week and change the water at least once a day, till the water no longer turns yellow.
