Snaps on tightly. Very secure!
I bought this cover for my boyfriend to use with a 10 gallon aquarium that he keeps a cricket colony in. It snaps on tightly, so I’d say it would be safe for animals that like to escape, such as snakes. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a critter that needs a secure, sturdy cover on his/her enclosure!I did not receive this product at a discount. Sturdy Lid!
Fits my 10 gallon tank perfectly. Not sure what the clips are for that were included because they in no way fit the tank. Maybe my tank isn’t a standard size since I got it used on craigslist but with a few rocks on the corners it stays put on my tarantula’s tank! Very sturdy metal mesh on the lid. I can tell this will last a really long time!

Been looking for these in pet stores and couldn’t find them locally!
This is the first time using Zoomed’s screen top. Was Four Paws that made many sizes of screen lids before. Can’t find any screens like these in local stores anymore!! I found them on Amazon.com and ordered 3!The lid has 2 kinds of clips to use on the back, that you put together yourself (two pieces for adjustable clips, one piece for non-adjustable clips–just slide into slots to put together.) It comes with a clamp lamp holder that is also just put into a slot. I’m using these lids for mice and other rodents, so not using the light clip. the slots for the light holder are over the edges of the tank, so no mice can escape. So Zoomed, when do you plan on making other sizes? They only make 10 gallon screens like this. The others have all metal frames and you have to buy the 4 clips needed seperately, which costs more—these metal tops are made more for reptile keeping. I’ve noticed not many people buy the clips to keep the lid on!! Including the pet stores using them on the cages of live critters in their stores on display!! I went into a pet store that only sells the all metal lids and they had not used any clips to keep the lids on the rodent cages! Customers could easily open the cage quickly and steal a hamster, not to mention the hamsters can climb the water bottle and open the lid itself! BAD pet store!!

Great top, worthless extras.
This is a completely standard screen top for a 10 gallon so I can’t really give it a bad review. I think that some of the extras it comes with are a bit shoddy. It has a cut out for what they call a clamp lamp bracket. I think this is low quality and even though I wasn’t using it for it’s intended purpose it wouldn’t stay in place. I’d worry about using it for anything heavy. The top frame is plastic and not metal – I had no issue with this. The actual screen is metal and not that shoddy stuff you sometimes get. I was really happy with this. All in all, I was pleased.

Good lid for 10 gallon tanks
I ordered this for our hamster and it fit the top of her tank like a glove. Quality seems pretty good and it comes with everything needed to secure the lid down to the cage. I can’t find one thing wrong with this product. Our hamster is a little escape artist and it does contain her. I’m very pleased with this lid, I’ve bought others from petco that cost more and were not as good of quality.

Durable and Heat Resistant!
I bought this cover to replace a plastic one for my frog as he requires a heat lamp and it was melting the plastic one.The cover fits snugly on my 10 gallon tank, the light has not faded the screen at all and no creatures have escaped. Although ants have made it in to eat the apple slice in the cage, but I can hardly fault the screen cover for that.

Didn’t work
There was a small gap and my lizard escaped. It did not fit on my zoo med tank. Mine also was the zoo med tank that the original door slid off the top.

Wasn’t What I expected
Good frame, but flimsy screen. There are definitely sturdier options out there that are a better value for the money.
