Such a great little time out..
I originally bought this for my goldfish fry. Works great.. but it also counters as a great time out box when you find you have a fish that’s a bully. We recently added another cichlid in my bigger tank. When I seen that the pilgrim cichlid was becoming territorial I put him in time out in this box to give the other newcomer cichlid a break. LOL he was being tormented and ran all over the aquarium. I was able to keep a blood parrot cichlid, the size of your hand, in it! Kept him there overnight, next morning let him out and he stopped being a bully LOL!!I love it!

Easy to set up
Easy to put together, the plastic is cheap but for the price, you can’t complain. I’m using this product for an injured cichlid I have healing in my calmer fish tank (20 gallon). So far, no complaints but this is only day 1. I will update the review if my opinion changes. Overall good cheap product for what I needed it for.

Great breeding box
This was great to hold my baby mollies and Platys. The holes are visible, so I was nervous about the babies swimming through. But they werenât able to which was great!

Okay and does the job
Lacked any semblance of thorough directions as photo shows. Quite a few steps are not included so I did a video and hopefully itâs helpful. I used my pea brain to figure it out. Okay, so really, itâs about a five dollar product. It does the trick, though, or at least it did for me. As far as I know, it worked flawlessly and no free fry snacks for dear olâ mother dear. The next day after I put my female Molly in, I spotted tiny fry resting on the mesh. Maybe that isolation made Mommy just comfy enough to let some babies drop. The fry were tired initially and stayed on the bottom but can and did easily come back up through the grate divider. The grate is ginormous compared to most breeder boxes but it does provide some protection as long as the fry donât venture upwards. But, logically, any gap big enough for fry to go through will also allow them to go back with mom. Itâs main function is to provide a barrier for mom. Thankfully, I had already removed Ma Cannibal and had no issues. Important notes: During assembly, make sure the knobs on both pieces of the frame are both on the same side unless you like one set of suction cups to face the wrong direction. Also, the grate (fry trap?) has a slot to insert the divider if you want to separate two adult fish. Make sure that slot faces up or you will not be able to install the divider without taking most everything apart. I was lucky and did it right the first time. Also, the suction cups attach over the netting. I have had no issues with this product other than the mesh pulling away from the elastic. For this reason, I did order a replacement and it came right away. Anyway, hope you enjoy my video and found my review helpful. And may every day be a happy Fry-day!

Recommend using super-glue, but much sturdier than I thought–works great
I’m a member of a tropical fish club and recently started breeding rainbowfish. The fry are tiny and spend their first weeks in a “German breeding ring”. But once they get to about half an inch long, they needed more room. but can’t be set loose in a big tank or they’ll be outcompeted for food. I ordered this, and it works far better than I thought. Very easy to assemble. Just to be on the safe side, I used a drop of super glue (which is aquarium safe) on each piece when assembling. The suction cups are very strong and haven’t budged from the sides of my 50 gallon tank. The fry are happy, have lots of room to swim (this net box is BIG!) and the netting is small enough they do not get stuck in it or even try to go through the holes. I think this will last through many batches of fry.

could not assemble
The 4 posts would not stay in the holes! I’d put one in and when I went to do another one the first one would fall down. I was sooo frustrated!!! I had to glue them in and even that wasn’t working all that great. Also I am worried now that the glue might my fish so I will NOT be using it.

For what you pay, itâs good enough
I have both small and large versions. Iâm happy with this. I use it for new plants and leave one side of netting down enough for only the guppies to get in. The only downside is the netting is loose and fish could get trapped but it is a slim chance. So this brand is better then the larger white one I bought.

Very cheaply made
The plastic is very cheaply made. One piece cracked when I tried to put it together.
