I wasnât 100% confident when I made this purchase, but it worked great for weighing newborn puppies in their first 2 weeks!Newborns are to be weighed multiple times a day to make sure they are gaining and not losing weight. This was perfect. Not too bulky or big so it can be tucked away easily.The one small complaint I have is the top dish and getting it to click in with the base. Itâs fine just not the smoothest experience. We just leave it on so we donât have to reconnect it.We were also able to weigh our 3 year old shihtzu who is about 15 lbs on it just fine.Considering the price, it was well worth it.

This scale is useless for animals that move
I got this scale because it was small and would allow me to weigh my cat. Upon arrival, I was surprised by *how* small it was, but thought it would be fine. Turns out that the top and base of the scale arenât attached to each other!! My 9 pound cat (way under the 33 lb weight limit) wiggles a teeny bit and the scale separates. Do not get this scale if your animal cannot hold completely still and is 9 or more pounds. Even if my cat had held still, I couldnât see the display because she spills over the edges of the scale. 0/5 stars.
