Feeding Ultra Fresh (slow) sinking Goldfish Food
to my baby black Ranchu for about 7 mos now. She’s (if she’s a she) been in a 5 gallon “grow-out” tank with a plenum filter and she’s strong and healthy. Yes, I know that 5 gallons is tiny–hence the plenum filter– but it’s working and she’s growing fine and is healthy. She’s also got a tiny heater that keeps the water around 78 degrees, which is better for the fancies against bacterial infections. In fact, my 55gal GF tank (also with Dr. Novac’s plenum filter) has a heater too and I’ve had NO issues AT ALL. NONE. Ultra Fresh GF food brings out her color. She’s a nice, deep, velvet-mat black all over. I also feed Ultra Fresh “Royal Guppy” to my WCMM, Tiger Barbs, and Varitus Platys? Best food out there for your water pets.

Top quality diet
My fish love this food , I have been feeding it exclusively for years and my fish are visibly healthy and thriving .The only downside would be the pellet size , they are small and my fish are now very large but I would not change to any other food , they seem to find it regardless.

It is exactly what I expected. It does tend to sink faster than other brands. The fish seem to like it, so I think is okay. I think the value for quantity is great also.

The food comes in a very good bottle and the ingredients seem good. I was pleasenly suprised to find a small spoon included in the bottle. Overall i think this is a good choice of food but there are some caveats.Right now I’m ghost feeding my tank to start the nitrogen cycle so I can’t speak on how much a fish might like this. However I would like to let you know that these are better described as rapid sink pellets and that they don’t all go down at the same rate. This makes these ideal for multiple goldfish that prefer to eat at different areas in the water.I would however like to let you know that you should only feed your fish a very small amount at a time becuase when I put in a few pellets to jump start my nitrogen cycle they became white and fuzzy by the end of the day.So while I would recommend this food as a high quality option, I’d just like to let you know not to let any sit at the bottom of your tank because they will rot and grow mold extremely fast.

Advertised as slow sinking, it goes straight to the bottom at record speeding. So if you need slow sinking, this isnât the one for your fishes
