Ink goes on very smooth
I use these pens for highlighting my lettering work. The ink goes down smooth and is easy to control. No skipping or leaking and the colors are very bright and vibrant. I haven’t had them long enough to determine how long the pens will run before running out of ink, however, they are so much fun to use, and at this price point, I won’t mind needing to purchase replacements. They are great for writing, adding a little pop to other art mediums, or just coloring in your favorite grown up coloring books

THRILLED!
Started coloring as a new way to pass the time as I recover from back surgery, and had no clue where to start. This set of pens is an excellent mix of both shade and selection at a fantastic price, so I chose it to learn with not knowing what to really look for. In 1 word: EXCELLENT! Even the case it comes in is of the highest quality. The ink rolls out perfectly smooth and flawless, the color flows effortlessly. The price is remarkable for pens of this caliber, so it goes without saying, I am returning to purchase an even larger selection by this specific manufacturer knowing I have made the best choice for both a beginner as well as the expert artist. A+ without a doubt.

These are wonderful!
The pen does not drag on the paper whatsoever – the ink flows smoothly and immediately – for a very âcreamyâ feel. Great coverage, no skipping, no smearing, and lovely colors in this six pen set. I have many other gel pens and in various brands, but these pens are my new favorite. They were highly recommended by Roxanne Coble (byBun) in her âCreaturesâ course and they did not disappoint – I was very favorably impressed right away.

Smooth Writing Metallic Ink
These write very smoothly and look metallic,the pens held up writing on top of a mixed media collage that included fabric, paper, matte medium, glues, various paints and gesso. I also used them directly on both a smooth cardstock and on watercolor paper with no bleeding. They do need a couple of seconds to dry. They are almost AS nice as the Sakura Metallics but not quite — but a good value and still a good addition to my pen selection.

Xtremely helpful at work!
I purchased these pens to be able to mark on paperwork that has heavy, dark colored ink coverage – like when someone prints a poster full color on a xerox. The paper I work with all day is always kind of glossy, and the dark color means that I can’t easily mark artwork for edits or changes with my blue & black pens. These gel pens have been really great, they don’t work SUPER well on the glossy paper, but with careful, light writing I can finally make my comments and edits easily visible to other team members who review the paperwork. I’ll definitely buy these again. As a note, they do state to store them flat, which I wasn’t expecting, but isn’t an issue for me.

Beautiful luminous ink.
I bought these for scrapbooking. I needed something to write a grocery list so I grabbed the green pen. WOW! The green is absolutely beautiful! I’m keeping these to write. Colors have a metallic sheen. Ink color is extremely vibrant. I’ve had metallic pens before but I love these pens. You can’t beat the price. It is not really sparkly. More luminous. These would be beautiful against a black background when coloring. The point is not superfine. More like a regular school pen size. These would make a lovely gift along with a nice coloring book or journal. Someone used the word ‘glitzy’ and they were right. The package is fine for storage and has a tab in the back in case you want to hang them. I did receive the Yasutomo Gel Xtreme Metallic Pens at a discount in exchange for my honest review. I give these 5 stars. I would buy them again for myself and would buy them as a gift.

These pens are nice and will work for what intended them for, a dark blue frame which will be signed in silver ink. I did, however, only receive 6 pens. They came in a package that is meant to have 7 pens but the yellow/light gold color is missing. This would have been a larger issue for me if the silver color were missing because it is the sole reason I made the purchase.I noticed another user also received 6 pens. Unfortunately quality issues like this have curtailed my purchases on Amazon. Well, that, and the obviously skewed reviews on many online items.

Soft metallic colours
Really like these pens – smooth flow and easy to write. Love the pens overall – especially the grey (silver) writes really well on darker coloured papers. The purple writes a bit fainter on white paper – than what the pen colour looks like from the outisde but I haven’t yet tried it on black or a darker paper. Overall writes well – broad ink flow makes it great to write captions on photos / cards and scrapbooks. Personally I prefer a finer tip point for paragraph journalling with a lot of text. So I use these for captions and another set of fine tip pens for the loads of text underneath 🙂
