Customers say
Customers find the fish food tasty and well-liked by their fish. They find it a good value for money, dependable, and long-lasting. The size is convenient for small fish like clown loaches. Many are satisfied with the taste, water clarity, and bottom feeder functionality. However, some customers have reported that the food attracts shrimp and snails, which can be harmful for aquarium fish.

Hikari food passed my pellet / wafer test!
I wanted to test which food my Cory Cats and Kuhli Loaches liked the best.My planted 75 gallon aquarium inhabitants include 1 Koi Betta, 6 Panda Cory Cats, 12 Kuhli Loaches and 2 Mystery Snails, so basically this was a good test of bottom dweller food.I tried 5 different types of sinking food, pellets and wafers, specifically made for bottom dwellers such as Cory Catfish and Kuhli Loaches.I placed several tablets and wafers of each type in the tank in the evening, since the Kuhli Loaches are nocturnal.(I do not over feed my fish. This was a one time test. I over fed them a lot for this test. I did remove all of the leftover food early the next morning.)The next morning ALL of these Hikari Tropical Sinking Wafers were gone. Also, ALL of the Hikari Tropical Sinking Carnivore Pellets were gone. The other 3 types of food were untouched. Nothing touched them. Not even the snails. So, now I know what my fish like and what they don’t like.I will only buy Hikari Tropical Sinking Wafers and Hikari Tropical Sinking Carnivore Pellets from now on.I found this information good to know. I don’t want to feed my fish something that they won’t eat. The tank has A LOT of driftwood and plants. There are plenty of places for food to get hidden and rot. I want food that will be 100% consumed.

fish love it
great for bottom feeders such as loaches, this is some of the best food you could be getting for them along with bloodworms.

Great For Bottom Feeders
I have been using these sinking wafers for years. Hikari is one of my favorite fish food brands, which is why I originally chose these. I mainly bought these for my loaches and corys, but surprisingly, my algae esters like them too! One pack provides food for quite a few months, let alone two packs- Great value

My corycats love them!
I have a couple of algae eaters, a plecos and a herd of corycats. When I feed the fish I have to feed the flakes first because the other fish love to catch these wafers and scatter them around the tank! The bottom feeders thrive on them; that’s all they get other than cleaning up the scraps from the flake food.
So far I love them –
Just as advertised
The fish really seem to enjoy it
