Awesome Product
Donât know how we managed without this before. It is well built and bottom is solid. The large size is comfortable enough for a Shepherd to move and lay down. The pipes that give support to the sides are a bit flimsy and bent when the dog puts its full weight but we replaced them with 1/2â pvc pipes, works like a champ, the zippers are a bit tuff once new but they loosen up after a few uses. It does take up room once itâs folded but it fits in the trunk. Overall our dear Shepherd travels very comfortably and safe.

**Note: only works with SUVs or vehicles with a larger back seat! I drive a Model Y and it fits snug but well. Iâm not sure if this would have fit in my old Model 3. I know someone who this did not fit in their VW Golf Sportwagen.I have been using dog hammocks for years, but when our baby came along, the full backseat hammock suddenly didnât work so well anymore. Sure, you can fold it over on one end, but my dog sheds a lot (photo evidence LOL), so having one side open just created a path for her fur to blow over the side and up under the hammock, making cleaning even more of a nightmare. Since Iâm fortunate I can take my dog with me to work, I needed a more âpermanentâ solution to allow her to ride in the back every day, while also leaving room for our toddler and his Evenflo 360 Slim rotating car seat.When I searched âhalf hammock,â this was one of the solutions that popped up. What I love even more than if being a half a hammock, though, is that the bottom is hard! My pup was always unsteady in the back seat, and cutting her space in half made me feel even worse about that. But, she actually seems happier in this hard-bottomed half hammock than she ever did in the soft ones! She is a lot more relaxed and comfortable having the hard bottom.Pros:- Half size so people or car seats can fit next to it (works with Evenflo 360 Slim)- Hard bottom gives dog more room, stability, and comfort- Manufacturer added some nice features like optional piping around the top to create a true square shape- Pockets for storage- Multiple buckle positions, so you can alternate it from one side of the car to the other easily- Mesh sides to allow ventilation into the dogâs seating area (hammocks can tend to cut off the airflow, especially in hotter months – this doesnât!)- Easier to clean and vacuum pet hair off of than other hammocks Iâve owned (hair doesnât embed as easily)- Nice attention to detail overall with piping, stitching, and Velcro covers around the corners- Good fit for SUVs, trucks, or other vehicles with larger back seats (does work with Model Y both 5 and 7 seat configuration)Cons:- Rigid and can be a bit difficult to zip up (unzipping is no problem)- Does not work in smaller vehiclesOverall, highly recommend! Perfect for BIG dogs!
I was on the lookout for something that1. left one seat open for my 6 year olds carseat2. could fit my 100lb American Staffordshire terrier3. my dog couldn’t get out of and to the other parts of the car easily (like some of the “bed” style options I’ve seen)4. was able to fit in my vehicle, 2017 Honda Fit EXMy choices were very limited and I decided to give this one a try based on the other reviews! It checks all my boxes and the price wasn’t too bad either. Tho we haven’t actually used it, it feels sturdy and looks like it will be easy to clean. It was easy to install and still leaves enough room for me to buckle my son in (tho he might have a hard time buckling himself in with it, not sure yet)Cons:-like others have said, the zippers are very hard to zip up! Thankfully this shouldn’t be a huge issue for us as I think just the Velcro will be fine to keep my dog contained when he tags along and I plan to keep it installed in my vehicle all the time so the inside zippers I only had to do once, but if you plan to take it out a lot or need the outside zippers to be up every time….this might not work for you! (This is the ONLY reason I gave 4 stars!!)-I wish there was a way to use the seatbelt of the car for an extra level of security.-the straps loosen easily when pulled on-i wish the outside panel didn’t have a mesh part on it as I can see that ripping from my dog climbing in and out, and it allows sand to fall through and into your vehicle when they climb upOther than those few things I am very happy with it and it works for what we need it for! (will definitely update if that changes!) ð

Impressed!
We just had a baby boy and needed a solution to getting our goldendoodle in the car for grooming and wellness appointments while having some sort of barrier between him and the baby. The concept for this one seemed sound and the construction looked good so we decided to give it a shot. So far we’re impressed with this. The base is strong enough to hold our dog, who’s 90lbs, and he gets plenty of space for himself to lay down or just be seated. It was a bit of work to get it installed correctly but it wasn’t the worst. We haven’t had to clean it yet so I can’t speak on that but it seems like it should clean easily. In the end, we’re happy with this purchase as it works well in either of our cars.

Excellent Fit for Large Dog
We purchased this for our Heeler and it works excellent. With the solid masonite bottom, she can reach the center of the seats and not come up front.The side zipper is excellent to keep the flap in place and prevent door scratches. Sometimes, we only use the velcro fasteners for short trips.The bottom is nice and we purchased the following item that fits PERFECTLY.Search for BEDSURE WASHABLE DOG CRATE BED PAD. 28″ x 21″. This pad is 1″ thick once it expands and is a excellent fit. Our dog enjoys it.

There aren’t many options on the market for dog car seats for bucket/captain’s chairs. This does technically fit the back seat of my Sequoia, and allows a more stable base for my 35lb dog. However, there’s a couple key features that are missed. There is no way to attach the cover/platform DOWN to the seat. It could flip up and can slide sidewise quite a bit in the event of a hard stop or crash. This could be easily be improved with a between the seat cushion attachment that 99% of car seat covers have. There is also no seat belt attachment. The “harness” is a terrible loop around the head rest which is a TERRIBLE idea in the event of a crash. The instructions aren’t clear and I can see people using the safety strap attached to the neck which would be another TERRIBLE idea in a crash. There should be a way to feed a seat belt attachment through the bottom. The zippers the sides are difficult to use and very thin. I am concerned with regular use, as you need to get a larger dog in and out of the vehicle they aren’t going to hold up. I haven’t found anything better, but for the price point I am not enthused about this design. The instructions that have clearly been google translated to English (“Warm Tips”) did give me a laugh.
