It was an otherwise quiet afternoon when pedestrians walking down a seemingly ordinary street stumbled upon a heart-wrenching sight that stopped them in their tracks. Romaka remained nearby the entire time. Although he was not injured himself, he refused to be separated from his sister for long. His love for her was unwavering and his presence seemed to bring her comfort even during her most vulnerable moments.
Knowing that the siblings had a powerful emotional bond, the rescue organization placed both Romaka and Nezhka in the same foster home. The foster family, touched by their story, welcomed the dogs with open arms.
The two were given a cozy crate to share, a safe space where they could decompress and recover at their own pace. Their foster family provided soft blankets, nutritious meals, and gentle care. Romaka was always by Nezhka’s side, watching her intently and resting close enough so she could feel his warmth.

Romaka remained behind in the crate, barking softly and anxiously, clearly distressed by his sister’s absence. His loyalty never wavered and it was evident that he was worried for her safety.
The surgery went smoothly. The veterinarians worked carefully to repair the fractures in Nezhka’s legs. After the procedure, she was monitored closely to ensure that her recovery continued without complications.
Despite her fragile state, Nezhka captured the hearts of the veterinary staff with her sweet nature. Her resilience and affectionate personality stood out and everyone who met her rooted for her recovery.
When Nezhka was finally cleared to leave the hospital, her foster family arrived to take her home. As soon as she stepped back into the house, her ears perked up and her eyes lit with excitement.
Romaka, who had been waiting for her return, immediately sprang up in joy. The moment the siblings saw each other, they rushed into a tail-wagging, face-licking, joy-filled reunion. Their happiness was unmistakable. They had missed each other dearly and now they were together again.

As Nezhka’s recovery progressed, she and Romaka began a new chapter in their lives. They were now ready to be adopted into forever homes. The rescue team carefully screened potential adopters, wanting only the best for these brave and loving dogs.
