As promised!
I bought this set of thread in September. I’ve waited to write a review until I had an honest chance to use at least half the colors. I’d say by now I’ve used 75% of the colors at least once.MACHINES USED ON:- Viking Designer 1 (Vintage 1997 â floppy drive)- Viking Designer SE- Singer Futura 580-XLThe only breakage Iâve had is on the Viking Designer 1, which is a very fussy machine with thread, and fusses at me if I donât feed it Isacord, Fufu or Madeira. On the flip side, I ran several embroidery designs through the D1 using only this thread and had no issues, so I donât want to say it was the thread â it could have been a design and thread combo mix that just made the D1 throw a tantrum.I had no issues with thread breakage with either the Designer SE or the Singer.The Bottom Line:PROS â- Value Priced- Minimal Breakage- Durable for apparel that is washed and dried â Iâve had no issues.- Thread conversion chart available on their website.CONS â- No thread tuck/lock on spool that I can find. (Husband notched each spool with a box cutter for me)I will not hesitate to buy this brand of thread again â I know for at least my machines, and my embroidery speed (Half speed â never on high speed) they work and look beautiful for my projects.**Edited on 12/13/18 to add two pics of items done with threads from this set.**

Beautiful thread but has problems
I use this thread for machine embroidery. The thread itself is beautiful in colors and stiches great for my machines. BUT, when I received my box of thread and I removed the plastic from the spools, quite a few spools just simple unraveled in my hand ( which you can see in the photo) and the threads just became all tangled up. Apparently, the thread is not wound very tightly on the spools to begin with. It was a mess. It is a lot of money to spend and then you lose that much thread. Also, the little blue button on the top that the description says is to be used to wrap the thread tail around is awful. Half of my little blue tops were laying in the bottom of the box and most of them would not stay in the spool and kept falling out and they were also so jagged on the edges that the thread kept getting caught on it. To sum up, the thread colors are beautiful, but I feel like I lost a lot of money because the spools are not wound tight enough and the thread just rolls off and the little blue tops are useless.

Keeps breaking
Had to try for the value. Unfortunately due to personal issues I was not able to use my embroidery machine for several months. For me to late to return.The first spool I used shredded like crazy but I was using a heavy cut away stabilizer. OK maybe it was the combination. The second spool I used with a project using a medium weight mesh and cotton fabric. (different color spool of thread). Thread worked okay but I had to slow my machine down to keep it from breaking. Third spool same as the first, absolutely horrible to deal with, this project was with the same stabilizer and cotton combo that worked before. Same for other spools I tried. Out of 10 or so spools I had 2 that were usable. I threw them all away after that.For those who think it makes a difference my machine is a Brother DreamMaker XE (VE 2200). Except for the cut away used with the first project I used Floriani no show mesh. My other threads that work without problems even with the heavy cut away are Floriani (poly) and Robison-Anton (rayon)

Not for embroidery
So I just got an embrodery machine, brother 600se, and there is no way this is w 40, its flimsy and half the size of my thread bought at michaels.. it doesn’t stitch even, get tangled easily, breaks easily, however when added sewers aid and using it as regular top stitch it makes nice stitches when going at medium speed. That is its saving grace thus I give 2 stars.
