Well constructed and effective!
Bought two sets of “two” of these 11.2 inch all metal sunshades. Have four widely spaced hummingbird feeders around our home. Spacing and distance of feeders is critical to minimizing the territorial/bully hummingbirds from dominating the feeders. As can be seen, I use these shades in conjunction with a metal ant moat hook that has its own small umbrella. I went this extra step as the ant moats on most feeders hold little water which evaporates quickly in the summer sun and heat. The deeper, shaded moat at the top of the hanging now acts as the very effective first line of defense with the large shade now covering the feeder’s more shallow moat. A very workable combination. The large shield gives a reasonable amount of shade for the feeder on the areas away from direct sunlight and remains reasonably stable in normal wind conditions. Yes, the top portion of the shade will fade to a soft coral red fairly quickly (2-3 weeks) in direct sunlight but seems not to fade any more than that. The underside remains its original bright red. Suspension hardware goes together quite easily and remains strong and secure. Simple to wash and keep clean with soap and water along with a fresh water rinse while hanging. There is a 13 inch version (another company) that I would have preferred for more shade but a two pak of these 11.2 inch shades is slightly less than the price of a single larger shade. The additional 1.8 inches is not worth the significantly higher expenditure. Highly recommend.

Perfect
I live in western Washington and experience a lot of rain in the winter months. I felt bad watching my local hummingbirds sit in the rain at my feeder, and decided to give this a try. It really works very well with the, More Birds Bird Health+ Ruby Hummingbird Feeder, I also purchased on Amazon. I was debating over pricer umbrella options, but Iâm very happy I went with this one. Not only was it one of the cheaper options, itâs doing a great job at keeping water off the feeder and birds. It appears to be of good quality, and Iâm expecting it to last a long time. This was very simple to add to a feeder and looks nice as well. I feel like it was money well spent.

Great
I once owned a dome-shaped rain guard, and it was a mistake. It could not survive wind and scared birds and spilled the feeder contents in a gust.This flat style is much better. It protects the feeder and the birds below it. It also provides shade in the summer sun. The top has faded, however, during the first summer of using it. That is why I gave it 4 stars; otherwise, it would receive five stars.

Great protection from sun and rain
My little hummingbird feeder needed a little protection from the sun and little rain we receive in the desert. It protects from both greatly. The birds donât seem to mind it, and it was easy to hang. It will make your feeder hang a few inches lower, but it was fine with ours. Thank you.

I Think I Would Have Liked These!
Unfortunately I was sent only one when it was supposed to be a 2 pack.The material looked nice and sturdy, however I returned it because I wasnât going to pay for a pack of two and receive only one.

Nice coverage on my hummingbird feeders
I really like these large metal rain guards. The fact that they are made of metal will really make them hold up much longer than similar ones made of plastic. Here in So Calif, they will come in handy during the hot summer months to help keep my feeders shaded during the hottest time of the day. I think they are very attractive as well. I would highly recommend these rain guards.

Okay I had to do a little modification for my little bird feeder cage which is a ball. However it is indispensable for blocking rain and snow that would spoil the items I put in the feeder otherwise. I got the red one and it looks great on my green bird feeder for the winter and I’m sure beyond that. As the theme for my balcony is some red and green. You’re going to get bird droppings on it so just be prepared for that. I was thinking of trying Rain-X or something like that on it to make it slide off but I’m not sure
