These items are somewhat disposable, but they are also inexpensive and come in decent shape. Almost no burrs on the blade, handle is sanded well enough.

What youâd expect for $14 for 2 knives
If youâre looking for a hoof knife that you can put to work straight out of the packaging this isnât it. Itâs with no sarcasm that I say, my butter knives are sharper than these. However they are sturdy. The metal is heavier and a lot thicker than say the hoof knives youâd pick up at a Tractor Supply. Handle is fine. If youâre looking for a hoof knife âstartâ⦠something cheap you can hone and sharpen to your liking.. these work. Just know youâre going to have to give some real attention to the blade. All I had was a hand sharpener handy and after 10-15 mins working on ONE side of ONE of the knives I finally gave up until I have the proper tools in front of me. If I remember and get these usable Iâll upload pics showing how blade came vs sharpened. But seriouslyâ¦dull enough to let your 5 year old play farrier with. Kidding! Well mostly kidding haha*Disclaimer- do not give your child knives to play with

If you need a handy hoof knife, this will do, but at $7 each you are not getting a premium knife that will give you years of use. The handle is comfortable and smooth, the blades are free of burrs, but not very sharp and will need a little attention before getting to work.
