Superior for bearded dragons
These dome lights are large – 8.5 inches in diameter. The bulb base is ceramic and there is a metal nut that secures the dome light to the ceramic base for sturdiness. There weren’t any hooks or hangers included, but I was able to take the ones off my previous set and install on these lights because there are slots for a hanger hook. Installation was a breeze – no tools required. The bulbs I have fit great and the 120GAL tank I have has been at the perfect heat temp and humidity since installing these lights. I love that there isn’t a dimmer switch and only an on/off switch. I plug these lights into a timer and the timer into the wall. That way I dont’ have to worry about turning them on or off manually. Functioanlly better than the ones that have a dimmer switch or a built in timer.

BIG shade
I was excited to get these as my iguana’s lamp shade broke, I did not know I would get more excited as I opened the box, these shades are big, easily holding solar glow bulbs which most shades struggle to cover. Functionality is as expected, it works. The nut that holds the socket is slightly magnetic which made it easier to line it up with the threads, be sure to tighten that bolt well before putting the bulb in.I will be saving these shades in my pet list to buy again if I need one. 0 complaints.

These are a great size! Bulb is not included, but this being a 2 pack still makes it a good value. The cord and bulb fitting are separate from the dome meaning this could be used without the dome if needed. The bulb fitting is ceramic which is of much better quality than I am used to with these kinds of lamps. The dome is durable enough that I trust it in my pig pen. The on off switch within the cord makes this very easy to use and not have to unplug all of the time.Hereâs my rating scale for products:1 Star: Do not buy. This item has serious flaws. I would never under any circumstances use again.2 Stars: Do not buy. Its usable at best, but you could easily find something better.3 Stars: Just ok. Buy if you can’t find an alternative. Poor quality arrived stuck together unable to pull the two hoods apart
These arrived completely fuzed together, and I was unable to pull them apart in order to install the cables. I guess I could have bent the inside one in half to get it out, but for the sake of the price, this is poorly packaged and is rendered completely useless in my opinion.

Fantastic reptile light set!
Although I’m not using them for reptiles these are great lights! Excellent functionality and very versatile too. I’m using them for mycology purposes and I needed a wide overhead light fixture with a manual switch so I can use them on a real timer. I don’t like the built in ones they never work right. Seems durable so far after three weeks of testing. I’m sure they would be good at generating heat with the proper heat or UV bulbs. I’m using corn LED bulbs that do not generate much heat at all. Good price point! Honestly I will be getting another set of them for my other little grow tents.

Am not using them for reptile lamps. Got them to use with ceramic bulbs for chick brooder. I would not use them for this as they don’t cover enough space for heat in my opinion. As the heat bulb sits deep in the bowl. Might be good for reptiles? Did not come with hangers which would had been great so you don’t have to find out mane your own. Would NEVER hang anything from a power cord. They are thin and they do get very hot themselves. Good looking if that matters to you. Power cord seems thin for the wattage but works for 150 that I tested. However, there was cracking popping sounds from the heat bulb while in it. This could had been the bulb itself? Can’t use for our purpose do to the fact stated above. They are difficult to pull apart new from box. Otherwise could work for other purposes.
