Works great to keep wire mesh lid on snake tank!
I could see these being really difficult for people with weaker hands, it was tough for me to get them on the first time and I have strong hands. Other than that, they’re perfect for keeping the Zika sturdy mesh lid on my snake’s tank! I have a ~70 gallon tank and I got two packages (four clips). I put one on each corner and it holds it down firmly enough that even the lid at the center of the tank is secure. They come off and go back on a lot easier now, and still hold the lid down great. And they look a lot nicer than a pile of books holding down the corners – hah hah.

Sturdy and easy to use – would definitely recommend to fellow snake parents!
These clips do exactly what’s expected – they keep the lid on the enclosure. We are first time snake owners and I was very concerned after reading many posts about young corn snakes escaping their enclosures but so far we have been able to contain out little escape artist even though she does enjoy hanging out along the ledge at the top of her tank!
My second concern was ease of use as my ten year old is the snake’s owner but she is able to get them on and off unassisted. The clips do loosen with use but are easy to re-shape.
The clips keep the lid very snug and even though I can lift it at the corners I have to exert enough force that I highly doubt a baby corn could lift it enough to escape. In the photo I took illustrating the gap I was lifting as far as I could. If you are concerned about a potential escape additional clips on either side of the corners will eliminate the problem but I really believe the four clips on the cage is sufficient.

Keeps lid on tight!
Works great, there definitely is a learning curve to figure out how to clamp these on properly, but once you figure it out you can rest easily knowing it is secured. To take them off, I pull the clamps toward me with a little force and they slide off the lid. I was using a different brand of similar clamps, but they were too difficult for me to remove, so these work so much better for me. I use 4 clamps (one on each size) to deter both cat and children getting into the top of my leopard gecko tank, and it does its job well.

Great Quality
These are great. I bought a different brand from the pet store and they were cheaply made with thin metal (bent too easy). This design I purchased on Amazon are way stronger. My snake doesn’t escape from the terrarium any more!

I purchased the set of 4 thinking I’d need one on each side of my 80 gallon tank. Two on each end works perfectly. Very strong. I have absolutely no fear that my noodley friend will go questing beyond his enclosure. It’s like the Truman Show meets MMORPG.
