Solid Kit -Needs some improvements
Update: Upped my rating to a 4/5 from a 3/5 for the following reason: I got live plants for the tank, which the pictures don’t do justice, but the color is VIBRANT with this glass. If the kit came with a solid heater and filtration system this would easily be a 5/5 for me.OG Review: Honestly this is a pretty solid nano kit for the price. That being said here are some general improvements I would make to set you up for success.1) Get a lid for the tank. Without a lid the water evaporation that takes place is pretty significant and hard to manage.2) the HOB filer has horrific flow. I ended up just removing it after a few weeks and just getting a nano cannister filter.3) The Thermostat/Heater generally isn’t very high quality. It was difficult to adjust the temperature on the heater, and the thermostat I received didn’t work at all. I ended up replacing it with a Hygger heater with an easy-to-read digital display.Overall, the kit is solid. The tank alone in my honest opinion is where the majority of the value is at. The back panel being black helps make the colors of my fish pop and in general gives the tank a more complete look that brings everything together.

Great little starter tank!
If your looking for the most complete mini aquarium kit, this is the one you need! This kit includes everything you need but gravel, water, and fish! This 3.4 gallon tank is ALL GLASS from edge to edge and top to bottom with none of the black plastic edges you might see in other tanks. This really gives you a clear unobstructed view of your fish. This kit includes a hang on back power filter, an air pump, a submersible heater, a thermometer, an LED light, a rock sculpture, and a few assorted artificial plants. They even throw in some pH test strips so you can get your water chemistry just right.All you’ll need to complete this setup is to put some sand or gravel on the bottom, add water (dechlorinated (, and fish.I really love that this tank is real glass and not plastic or plexiglass!Absolutely beautiful little kit, highly recommended!
