All-in-one, self-contained live-bearer breeding tank. A safe floating haven for live-bearing fish and fry, it has a chamber for expectant fish and a V-shaped bottom compartment that safely collects and protects falling fry. It can also be used as a betta fish enclosure as well as for segregating sick or aggressive fish.

Does what it needs to do!
Keeps the preggers away from the rest of the fish! Still this isn’t a fool proof design. The babies can still be eaten by the mom or the other fish will “suck” out the babies and eat them. Overall I will buy again though this is not the larger size I thought it would be. Kinda smaller than a few of my other ones I bought from the pet store.

    Great Customer Service!
The customer service was wonderful! The fry trap that I received had a large crack in it from shipping. I messaged them, sent them a pic, and they responded very quickly! They rapidly sent me a replacement that shipped and arrived even faster than the original (and the original arrived much earlier than expected). The trap itself is pretty good, though it tends to float a little low, not leaving enough space for air between the lid and the trap itself. However, I found a simple solution by slicing a ring off of a pool noodle and cutting that in half to push into the floating handles. Overall, I think I made a great purchase and will definitely be buying from this seller again!

    Amazing Breeder Box
I love it. I was able to quarantine my betta in this breeder box when she was bullying others. I love the way it just floats to the top.

    This does not contain babies.
I bought this item and still lost ALL of my babies because they were still too small and slipped through the holes.

Not a guppy fry nursery, but….
This floating “3 in 1” is supposed to make a breeding honeymoon suite, an isolation ward for timeouts for nippers, and a nursery for the new born fry of livebearers. I would give it a thumbs up on 2 of the uses, but baby guppy fry just swim right through the slits in the very bottom of the tank. I have used it for all three “traps” and found it to be excellent as a breeding tank to give your favorite couple their own private hideaway. And it seemed to have cured the swordtail that was going kind of crazy nipping at everybody. A week in solitary seemed to have cured him of that. At least for now. And as far as separating the momma from the babies, it does that well too. If that was a far as it went, I would love this Marina 3 in 1, however there are those wide slits at the bottom of the tank.
Those slits in the bottom of the tank though are large enough for blue delta guppy fry to swim right through and possibly get eaten by one of the adult fish in the tank. I don’t know how many fry she had altogether, but there are at least six baby guppies hiding out in the plants, both living and fake.
I still like the product and would recommend it to friends. My favorite thing about it is that it floats and does not need to be fastened to an air line.

    Nice container
The guppy trap floats well. The holes in the bottom allow some circulation. The insert installs and removes easily. Nice product.

    Using with fry
I purchased this for my live breeder tank and the instructions describe exactly what i am looking for however i am afraid that the holes in the bottom of the trap might actually be too big and allow babies out. my larger fry stay fine but they were already a few weeks old. This is one of the smaller breeder traps available if that helps anyone.

Bought this for my sons aquarium after spotting a baby fish hiding in the rock formation. Since then we seem to have had a second brood of baby platys (live bearers). These are small but not as tiny as the hatching fry from egg layers and cannot fit through the bottom holes. We have a total of 9 babies growing in the nursury and all have survived there for over 6 weeks now. The box floats nicely and in ours is held on one side of the tank by the flow of the pump outlet. We have put a couple of plant segments in there so the babies have somewhere to hide. It makes a wonderful little ‘aquarium in an aquarium’. Smaller than I expected but perfectly sized even for use in a small aquarium.

Wir bestellten diesen Kasten bereits zum 2. Mal.
