Effective at a reasonable price
This collar really worked for my elderly cat. He became aggressive when we adopted a new kitten. When wearing the collar, he was noticeably more calm and much less likely to case after the new cat. I could always tell when it was time to change it because his behavior became aggressive again. This product works as well and is more affordable than the Feliway collar. In the photo, you can see heâs even allowing the young cat to sleep close to him. You canât see the collar because he has a large ruff.

Amazing product! Worth every cent!
Although pricey, the calming collar is worth every cent. I was very skeptical, but after reading reviews I decided to give it a try on our 3 and 1/2-year-old orange Tabby girl with golden eyes. She had become moody and sometimes aggressive towards other cats in the house and sometimes the humans. She wanted to be petted, but she would change her mind, and even bit us sometimes. I couldn’t figure out any big changes that had happened in the home that would cause her behavior. I purchased the box of calming collars and took one out to try it on her. It smelled very pleasant, and it was easy to put on her even though she had never had a collar on before. About a week went by before I began to notice any change in her. And then suddenly there she was again – our sweet, playful little girl. She wanted cuddles and loving and pretty much non-stop without any attitude at all. Not convinced it was all due to the collar, I removed it for a few days and her negative behaviors began to return so I put a new collar on her because it was time, and she has been her sweet self again now for 2 weeks. This has been a huge behavior adjustment, and such an easy way to fix the problem. I’m going to order some for my other female cat to see if she will stop being so dramatic. (I wonder could these work on people? Lol!) An unexpected bonus the collar offers is that it glows in the dark and makes it much easier to see kitties so they don’t get stepped on at night. THANK YOU! UPDATE 3-2025 THESE COLLARS ARE AMAZING! They last longer than recommended, and they have been life-changing for our cats. If you have any doubts, just buy them.

They shouldnât have changed what used to be a great product
Used to be a great for calming & made an observable impact, so I bought them repeatedly. My last 3 boxes, ordered at different times, have not only had no aroma, thereâs been ZERO impact on cat moods. It used to be that putting one of these collars on a cat produced immediate results like more social, visible, relaxed, cuddly cats. Not any more and it wasnât just one box that was a dud. For folks who donât like aroma in collars, then I suggest those folks buy regular collars instead of ones for calming. The aroma these used to have was worth it bc the results were undeniable. Now I can get these right out of the package & nothing. The stark change in how the cats responded to them confirms that some change was made to what was once a wonderful, effective product. Now itâs just spending money for collars that glow in the dark. So disappointed. And I wouldnât care about changes or absence of aroma if they still worked, but at this household, they stopped working when this brand of collar made changes to the design.

Great price but a paradoxical collar
These calming collars work just as good as the $20/2 pack, which I’m happy about. However, they come with their own issues, one of which is minor, but the other which is a bigger core issue.First up, the small issue: This collar’s smell is STRONG when you first open the packet. The smell isn’t a big deal for me, but it might be for others. There’s a strong lavender smell, one that reminds me of lavender aspercreme lidocaine pain rub. I don’t mind the smell and it’s only super strong the first few days, but it might be really intense to others.Now for the big issue: These collars are “breakaway” in design, but they “breakaway” at the slightest tugging. My cat isn’t even collar-averse; just her grooming herself will pull the end out of the ‘cinch’ loop, and the little rubber band they provide to “fix” this issue doesn’t help. When the collar end is free, she chews on it because it’s annoying to her, and it’s annoying for me to have to fix her collar every couple of hours. Like, what’s the point of putting an anxiety collar on her if it won’t stay on and causes anxiety for both of us when it’s falling apart???I was able to make this work by sticking a safety pin through the collar to secure it, which was easy as it’s a very malleable material. It’s a pretty similar material to those “Live Strong” rubber bracelets from the 00’s but with a more jelly-bracelet kind of feel, if that gives you an idea of the material composition. Once I pinned it, it’s stayed on like a dream. I’ve been keeping a close eye on my kitty to make sure she doesn’t pop open the safety pin, but so far (about a week now) it’s been okay.Other than these two issues, the collars have been great for reducing her anxiety when they’ve been able to work properly! She’s a lot calmer, has greatly reduced her stress-grooming, and doesn’t pick at her skin until it bleeds. She’s also clearly sleeping better and just generally more relaxed.Ultimately, pretty happy with the price and the results, but the issues with the collar staying on is a major hassle.

Does a good job, butâ¦
For some unknown reason, my 13 year old cat has started howling at night. I know cats are nocturnal animals, but this started recently. Heâs healthy and has been checked out, food and water are always available, and during the day, heâs fine but I needed to find something for the night time howling. Iâve got a diffuser (ka-ching $) and it helps, but not as well as this collar. The only thing that I took one star off for is that it isnât secure enough. Even though some little bands are included with the collar to keep it on, it still comes loose fairly easily when my kitty grooms himself. There is a slight smell, but itâs not a bad smell. I also noticed it glows in the dark. Itâs not really bright, though. Overall, itâs a good effective product.
