Seems strong, but didn’t put it through much testing
It was difficult for me to see how these work with the photos provided. So I’m trying to post better photos. They went on large posts/rails quite easily, though you have to manipulate the plastic clip opening around what it is you are trying to put it on. Then you have to move the closure down, and into the ring, then up to “lock” it close. They seem to be quite strong, though I did not test them. If I had a set up to hold a bucket of water, that would be a good test to see if it fails overtime like most plastic items. No way would I use this to tie up a horse, as I wouldn’t be able to undo it when it was under stress (from the horse even gently pulling on it). Not really sure what I’ll use them for. Too big & cumbersome to use on chains on gates, not rated for climbing, so??

My friend and I lease half a barn, we have a few spots for cross tie options. Though we have cross ties that will release themselves, having an additional safety option gives us more of a peace of mind. Horses will be horses and these have been great.

These arenât what I thought they were. They are plastic and Iâm not sure how heavy duty these could be. Maybe for holding a bucket of feed. But I doubt a bucket of water and no way you could use these for cross ties as mentioned in their listing. Two stars because they did ship quickly and they arenât completely useless. Just not going to use them as advertised

Lightweight quiet alternative to large metal carabiners
For basically a plastic version of a large carabiner, I feel they are a bit pricy at $4.25 each.

These are advertised for a horse trailer tie. It also has other places of use for it. As a trailer tie, I guess it’s okay. I mean they are a lot stouter than I had expected.The connecting point however is where it would fail. It’s a weird type of hook if you can call it that, and it’s not particularly strong there. Maybe I’m missing something. I’m not engineer so it could be some kind of sheer point thing that has it stronger that it looks.I’m hesitant to use it with my horses. Maybe one of my ponies or the mini horse. I definitely feel comfortable using it for my Great Danes however. I’m honestly not sure what possessed me to order them, however I’m sure I’ll be putting them to use.

Love these! Super strong. They easily hold a full bucket of water. I can tie my horse to them and they hold him as well! I think they are very convenient on the side of the trailer so I can easily get the water bucket hung at the right height next to the hay. A great addition to make trailering easier!
