If it Only Made Cats Instantly Run
Well this is a well made running wheel. I have tried a couple of times and we have a hyperactive orange tabby who, if he used this, would love it. I can’t detract a star for my cat’s behavior, which is already unpredictable, I’m not faulting Nordic Beast. Some prayers and continued use of the included feather toy may do the trick.2H total construction time. Use power tools. Did I mention to use power tools? There’s 75+ screws to screw. Get some power or your wrists will fail.Positives-Well made-The plywood is faultless and seems pretty sturdy during construction. Little things like competitor’s cheapo plastic anchors bending as you put them in. I saw anchors and dreaded it, these are great and all the parts are quality.Extra Parts-Manufacturers everywhere should always do this. Thank you, I didn’t need them but still thoughtful and nice!It’s Quiet-Thought it would be louder but spinning it at speed is a low whoosh / wheels rolling noise. It’s not offensive to online meetings, etc. in the background.Negatives-There’s not a lot of negatives but some-Part Labeling-Why place a label on the plastic wrapping for the parts and not on the part consistently? Why mix different parts into one bag, can you please group the bags so at most there’s two different parts in the same bag, not like 4-5? I had to sort the parts per the inventory to match, and it took about 5 minutes.That Screwdriver-Not the drink, but the one included is cute and that’s about the extent of the functionality. Please just include extra cat toys instead as this is just a decorative item. Suggest power tools too, it won’t hurt :)Not big negatives and more positives. The only other thing I wish for it my cat to run in it. He’s a big boy, not chonker, so this is just right. We’ve tried some but this is unnatural to cats so it takes time. I’m sure in the next week or so I will have him running his semi-chonker self on there. Wish me luck!

Huge and sturdy, takes time to assemble
This wheel is pretty big, but so are my cats. It took me about 3 hours to build by myself, though things went faster once I switched from a manual screwdriver to an electric one. It has a little bit of a hitch when rolling, but I can’t figure out why since all the pieces went together flush. It is pretty quiet, though you can still hear it. There’s no squeaking or anything. My cats so far have not been interested, though I have been able to get them to stand on it. This does seem better quality than other plastic ones I’ve seen.

Sturdy, Smooth Rolling, Good.
This wheel is very big and solidly made. My wife is the furniture assembler of the household and she said it wasn’t terribly hard to put together, just a bit tedious with all the parts. She is very happy with its build quality, and noted that it seems like actual plywood and not super cheap particle board, and none of the boards or other pieces split when she drove in the screws.It is kind of noisy, I don’t think you’re going to find one of these that isn’t. It’s not unbearable, but our cats haven’t exactly been running on it yet. We did have our youngest cat actually walk on it himself for a few seconds tonight, and it’s the first night we’ve had it together. My older cats have sniffed at it in curiosity. If they end up liking it and using it, I will probably put a small rug under it to absorb some of the sound/vibration.It’s stable and rolls smoothly. The cat that walked on it tonight on his own is around 12.3 pounds according to our fancy-schmancy FurryTail litterbox.Amazon is suggesting that I mention the cat toy in my review, so okay: My youngest cat likes teaser toys like the one that comes with it, and he likes this one as a result. It’s lost a few feathers within the first half hour of use, but so did the name brand one we got at PetSmart when we first adopted him as a wee little kitten. That is to say, the teaser toy quality is the same as any other you might get.We did not put on the gold trim pieces, so I can’t speak to how easy that is or how well they stick. Honestly? I think the gold on black looks tacky. I don’t know if this product has any other colorways, but that’s what I was able to get via Vine We’re fine with the unfinished wood edges.

A little difficult to assemble but doable. Seems worthwhile
Your gonna want a drill for assembly! Set it’s power lvl to 10 to avoid damage and make it easier. A rubber mallet will save your fingers some effort but isn’t required.Take the outer ring sides / base and put them separately at first.Take the majority of the middle sections and stuff / mallet in all the yellow ankors.Use the screws to add all the middle sections of the wheel, order doesn’t matter except the 3 pieces with 2 holes that connects the 3 sections of the wheel… those all have 2 holes on the end btw.Connect the wheel together/ bolt on the 3 little brackets for extra support.Assemble the base, larger wheels in the middle and smaller outwards (they are on there sides btw)Put the base where you want it and roll the wheel over to place it on top…. it’s shockingly heavy so unless your a body builder I suggest using that method lol.Add the velcro Tape inside the wheel then add the carpet. The gold trim is upto you, I left it out.The only augmentation this required was sanding down one connection joint on the wheel to make it move smoother / reduce the noise.In general it’s built very well! Rugged design and the cats seem to like it now the understand it lol. I put cat treats on the bottom/ edge of the rug and taped a couple catnip treat twords the top of the wheel (but not centered) so it would roll when they try to get to them lol. Sofar it’s worked perfectly! Kept the midnight zoomies quiter an out from under our bed lol.
