Excellent all in one
This aquarium is beautiful, roomy for 5 gal and sleek. It comes with everything you need. Filtration medium, circulation pump, tubing and lighting. (You purchase rocks, decor etc) The instructions were basic and confusing. I used the Pic in the description to figure out the medium layout. I was still confused by the pump. The way it’s packaged was not the way it fits in the housing. The 90° elbows seemed to be on the wrong ends according to the diagram. They do turn, but they don’t accommodate the suction cups on the pump. In the end, I put the pump in so it worked. It isn’t sitting on the floor of the housing nor suctioned to the side. It’s just hanging out an inch or two above the bottom but it’s working fine. Other than some simple design flaws w the filtration, which is hidden behind the curved portion, the tank is nice. I have yet to clean it since putting fish in. The glass lid is a nice touch to keep water from evaporating. There is a small cutout, possibly for feeding but I used it for the heater cord. So every time I feed, I have to lift the light lid and take off the glass cover. No biggie. The 3 light settings look nice. I have glofish so the blue lights really set off the colors of my fish. All said, I would recommend this tank for families w small fish. It’s simple, clean and looks good.

I wish it could have a timed light
I have this tank setup for my betta fish. It is a really excellent tank and the only comment I would make is you cannot put the light on a timer since it’s a touch button. If the power is cut off by a timer, then you have to manually touch the button to turn it back on. The filtration system is excellent and it keeps the water clean. Also the tank is is built of good quality and I have no other observations except that I’m pleased overall

This is a beautiful looking fish tank. Easy to set up and easy to clean (since the tank is made of glass not acrylic). For the price, I wish it had an integrated timer into the device (for the light).

Itâs a cute concept but the air pump makes the whole tank vibrate so we didnât use it for long.

Loud and missing plug
Why does no one talk about how LOUD this thing is?! It comes with a piece to supposedly adjust the water flow, but it doesnât actually do anything. Water just shoots out at full speed no matter what. Also, my package is missing the adapter for the light. The part that plugs into the light cord isnât universal, so I have no idea what to do about that. It also came extremely late but thatâs Amazonâs fault. Very annoyed with this tank at the high price point.**EDIT: I have now changed my two star review to a one star review. This tank has killed everything that I have put in it. My betta was super healthy and never had any problems in any other tank until this one. Even my snail died! And to top it off, the seller wrote to me to offer a replacement or refund when he saw my original review, and then just disappeared when I asked for the refund. Complete waste of money and terrible customer service. DO NOT BUY.

I agonized over whether to buy this tank for weeks. Itâs definitely outside of my typical price range and other than the super cool aesthetic and shape, I questioned whether it was really worth it for a $15 Dragonscale Betta.Itâs freaking worth it. My hesitation turned out to be a lucky thing: I watched it for weeks and snagged it on sale one day for $80. I was really thrilled at having such a cool looking tank for my gorgeous white, silver and blue betta. But when it arrived and I assembled it⦠I realized I could not have been smarter about this choice.The filtration is what gets me the most. Itâs hidden, with only a small waterfall arm protruding. The ability to adjust the water flow strength is SUCH an incredible feature to have. Bettaâs do not prefer super active waters and instead enjoy a gentle flow, so I turned mine down to the lowest setting and itâs PERFECT. Itâs difficult to find filtration systems even remotely like this on itâs own (Iâve looked desperately for my other tanks) so Iâd say this company really has the competition beaten with the filtration aspect, alone. Also, Iâve heard and read some pretty horrific stories about other systems causing terrible harm to fish so I was so beyond thrilled at the way this was structured and hidden. I was a bit worried about the glass overlay at first, but when I put it together actually realized I preferred it (I have a 10 gallon Aquaeon and this tank helped me realize my other tank is actually garbage and I now loathe that hood). And the touch-activated LED lights are so stinking cool. Bright white, warm yellow, and a deep blue all illuminate the tank and fish beautifully. The touch sensor is highly sensitive which I like. You barely need to hover your finger over it to change it so no jamming your fingerâs on stupid buttons. The glass is amazing quality and you can see straight through the edges/corners when your fish peek at you. Mine houses one betta and four corycats and theyâre all happier and healthier than the fish in the other two tanks in my house (despite all tanks receiving the same routine care). I think that alone speaks the most volumes. I wish this tank came in a ten gallon because I would pay an inordinate amount of money for it at this point. What began as my being a skeptic turned into a devout believer. Do not doubt yourself if youâre considering this tank. Just buy it. I PROMISE you will not regret it.
