    Update: water continually leaking out
This is a bit larger than expected, but the description is accurate, so not their fault. It’s a bit finicky to setup with the way the pump fits in. I heated and then stretched the silicone tubing at the top to give it a tighter seal, but it would still work otherwise. It holds a good amount of water, as the reservoir opens up across the whole bottom. I did need to adjust the flow of the pump a bit to get an amount I was happy with. It wants to either be way too strong or way too weak of a flow. Be careful with both extremes as I found the either will result in water getting onto the lip under the “waterfall” and pouring out of the device. Also, this needs to be very level, or if angled, with the water collection pool slightly down slope. If it’s out of level in any other direction, water will find its way out of the device. My anole loves this thing, and it’s favorite spot to rest in on top of the “stump”.I’m finding I need to clean the device every 2 weeks or so, as proteins end up in there (mostly poop) which leads to bacteria growth, both of which cause the water fall to get foamy. It isn’t the easiest to clean either, but some of that is my setup where the power cord is pretty challenging to take out and install again. The plastic is a good resin, typical for pet products, which is durable and chemical resistant. I clean it by spraying it with a bleach solution (not in the habitat of course) then giving it a good rinse. No issues with the bleach damaging the product, and no issues with lingering bleach smell after a good rinse. The waterfall feature will also work well to quickly dissipate any traces of chlorine as well.I would say this is good for smaller climbing reptiles, lizards mostly, or perhaps some amphibians that tolerate lower humidity. This is not sufficient for tropical (read: very wet) habitats, and you could still use this but will need other sources to add moisture to the space. Even for my anole which is not tropical, I also have a small mister that dribbles some water in a couple times a day just to keep the humidity around 40-50%. Of course, this depends on the needs of your pet and the humidity of your location.Overall I think this is a successful product, and while it isn’t perfect, it’s probably still my favorite watering solution with a pump (I have a number of other products that do this and they also work but have more issues).

A great product if your animal isn’t prone to pooping when wet.
This waterfall is very cool. It actually looks great in a terrarium and provides a reptile with a place to drink without using ugly water bowls. Assembly was no problem, but I’ve used other fountains, so I have a slight advantage, I think. Either way, nothing struck me as too puzzling while putting it together. I found that it was relatively quiet and that might matter to some people. It was built well and I even knocked it around while assembling it and had no issues and worked great, so it won’t break on you if your animal finds some crazy way to bang it against the terrarium glass. Cleaning this is a bit more complicated than just replacing a water bowl, but you also don’t have to do it as often. At least in most cases. Unfortunately for me, it became a toilet. I’m thinking that the water makes my lizard decide it is time to go. And just like that my fountain is a litter box. Repeat a few times and I’m giving up on it in there. I will try with other lizards I have and see how it goes. But overall, this thing looks really nice and functions great. The price is not cheap, but not expensive either when you consider the going rate for these things. It’s really no more expensive than a fountain of the same size and quality that you would put on your desk.

    Pump doesn’t stick
Returned immediately. The pump does not stick to the fountain whatsoever. The second it starts vibrating to rub the water it instantly unattached from the bottom and water leaks from the sides. So disappointed considering the other reviews were good. This is not a good purchase.

    Works great, super quiet
I got this as a replacement for a water fountain we had for my son’s bearded dragon. The one we had was loud and clogged all the time, so it was time for something new. This water fountain did the job!It looks great, runs great and is waaayyy quieter than what we had in there before. So far, we haven’t had any of the clogging issues we had with his old fountain. The only complaint I have is the lack of instructions for setting it up. It wasn’t really complicated and I was able to get it going without any real problem, but even if there’s only a minor amount of assembly required, I feel like instructions should be included.Overall, I’m super happy with it and definitely recommend!

Functional and Adds Decorative Flair to Reptile Habitats!
This fountain works well and “camouflages” into my crested gecko’s habitat as she is an arboreal species. She is attracted to the trickling sound of the water and I don’t have the same concerns about stagnation or accidental drowning that I would have with a conventional water bowl in her tank. Often she just perches near it, I think she enjoys that it helps maintain the recommended level of humidity in her tank. So far, but I’ve only recently started using it, the pump doesn’t seem to generate much noise.

    So awesome!
The reptile water fountain has quickly become a favorite for my leopard gecko! She thoroughly enjoys perching on top of it. It operates quietly and exceeds my expectations in performance. Given that it is placed within an enclosure, I was initially concerned about potential water spillage creating a mess, but I have encountered no issues. The size is ideal—not too large or too small. Assembly was straightforward, although it lacked instructions, which required a few minutes of trial and error on my part, but it was definitely worth the effort. The motor must be submerged in water; once you are aware of this, the rest of the setup is simple. Cleaning is easy, although I haven’t found it necessary since the water is continuously circulating. It is important to check the water level at least once a day and add water as needed to ensure the motor remains submerged. Remember to unplug the unit during this process to prevent overflow. This charming fountain is well worth the price and looks fantastic in the enclosure!I hope you find my review helpful.
