A flock favorite!
My chickens canât get enough of these little bugs! I had one hen (less than 1 year old) that consistently extra large laid thin or soft shelled eggs no matter how many different forms of calcium I provided. Her eggshell quality has improved since I began offering the flock this product. Amazon price is also better than I can find at any of the local farm supply stores.

Birds are enthusiastic!
Researched these vs millworms, dried flies seems to be better choice based on production methods. Also, pricing & size make this a better option when feeding wild birds in the winter. Granted, lots of starlings attracted, but others here too.

I order these regularly
My chickens love these. My turtle loves them as well. High in protein and it seems to be a quality product. They donât last long for us because I have a lot of chickens, but Iâll continue to order because itâs a treat for the birds.

Great for all wild birds
My husband picked these out and I was hesitant that the blue birds wouldnât come because they werenât meal worms. The birds havenât skipped a meal! This size bag was cheaper than the meal worms we have been buying. The birds keep coming so they must love eating them and I read that this type of bug is also on the list of grubs and bugs to eat. We have officially switched and I will say it is a small savings and the birds love them. Win for all.

GREAT VALUE!My hens absolutely love these. This is protein and a treat all in one bug! I have even started crushing and giving these to the newer little chicks. They devour them.

Great for birds… Not for dogs!
Storytime!!! Soooo… a BIG mistake was made and I’m not sure I’ll recover. I didn’t close the box of soldier fly larvae and the dogs found it. Didn’t notice until I went to pay the grub tax for the spoiled birds (if I forget, their union rep calls me at all hours of the night & early morning).I bet you’re thinking, no big deal… reorder early and they got some extra protien. You’d be wrong. Less than 6 hours later, they started dropping stink bombs that would clear a room. However I live in a dome house. Big open Floorplan= fast smell travel. Tonight, they are even sick of their own “scent”. We kicked them off the bed because it’s so bad I was almost ill. My poor sweet husband said he couldn’t really smell it because he uses a CPAP and blissfully went to sleep… until now, at 12:30 am and he popped up gagging and clawing the mask off his face like it was an Alien facehugger. Our sweet, bloated, and clueless dog had gone to the floor and laid directly next to the intake of his CPAP and released a cloud of foul so bad, I was checking for bombs under the bed. My husband was in tears, wretching and laughing. The dogs are confused and whining. The bird’s treats are rationed and I doubt anyone is getting any sleep tonight. I think this is what hell will smell like. By the time it faded, they’d drop another.PS, the box should really warn about keeping away from dogs.

Not mealworms, pay attention
These are nice but I bought them accidentally because I mistook them for melworms. They are not mealworms.

Great price but imported from overseas
Excellent price, high in protein, high in fat. I just wish it were grown regionally rather than imported from overseas
