Rich and thick and my budgies like it
It’s a big bag of millet and it’s comparable to several other brands I was buying from before. I bought this one because of the price and it’s not any worse than anything else. The Millet is very densely packed there are some seeds in the back that get loose during shipping but overall it’s a very small percentage that it’s loose. I usually cut it into two pieces and give it to my budgies and they will eat it within one or two days. Keep in mind this is not their main food but I use it as a treat. When I travel I give them one whole piece and it lost them for almost a week. Again as a supplement to their normal diet. Overall I think the quality is very good, it feels and smells fresh. The color is exactly this dark as on the picture unlike other millets that I bought before that was much lighter. I’m not saying that light or dark is better or worse just so you know what you getting.

Best millet I’ve ever bought.
You cannot go wrong buying this millet. The sprays are larger, plumper and fresher than any I’ve previously purchased. I put a spray of millet in my chick brooder to introduce pecking and foraging instinct. It gives chicks something to do other than simply sitting in a metal box under a heater. Of course, my other birds get to enjoy this millet. The parakeets hang on it while eating. Yes, the sprays are that big!!

These arrived well packed. The millet stalks are very long, so I had to cut them into 3 parts for my lovebird. The millet looks fresh as well. My bird loves it, thank goodness because I did buy 5 lbs of it! I will freeze the millet and take out what I need for a week or two. In general, the product is very good, delivered quickly and the best thing about my purchase, is I bought it from a CANADIAN company located not too far from me. The price was very good for the quality and amount I received. I highly recommend this company, especially if you want to buy Canadian. Thanks!!

I have four budgies and they absolutely devour this millet. The good thing is that one of these boxes can last a long time for them and they do love it. Also, it is food and nourishing for them.Best price for the amount.

We have purchased this a few times and were disappointed with this batch. Usually the box is full with 2, very full bunches of millet. This one was very sparse. Some stocks only had 2 or 3 small groups on it and there were very few that were as full as they used to be. Iâm hoping that this is just a bad batch as our flock of finches love it. Mama birds love feeding it to the babies.

This is my second time ordering this product. I love the endearing Quebec French name, the red and white packaging, the little white Canadian Maple Leaf, and the BOLD print “Packaged in Canada”. It really gave me the impression that this was a safe, home-grown Canadian product. It is NOT. IT IS GROWN IN CHINA. Seems to me La Poule Express marketing team are trying very hard to disguise that fact. Nowhere in the Amazon description does it state this comes from China. I didn’t notice first time around, but when I happened to look at the very LIGHT print on the box underneath the more noticeable, darker printed words “Packaged in Canada”, I saw the words “Product Imported from China”. This is a deal-breaker for me, as I don’t eat food from China, and I definitely would not expect my pets to eat food from China either. This is sold from Quebec – I’m sure Quebec grows plenty of millet. I am returning this product.
