Worked well for my Boston Terrier!
I took my pup on his first hike this week and he did really well with this cooling neck wrap. Summer time is rough for my Boston terrier because of the heat but this neck wrap probably doubled the time he could be outside. I donât think it would stay cold for long in very hot weather but for this low 80s overcast day in the mountains, he was able to hike for about 2 hours with some breaks. It definitely helps to put it in the freezer for a while before using. The first time I used it, I didnât do that, and so adding in at least 10 min in the freezer was a game changer. In our 2 hours of hiking i re-wet it 2 times.

It works
My Golden was outside today in the heat for about 8 minutes and came back in panting. I took the collar out of the freezer and when she saw it she walked into it. Stopped panting and fell asleep on her cooling blanket. She was also wearing the collar last night at an outside dog park. I’d say it stayed cool for an hour. She’s a 57 pound Golden and the large size is perfect. I rinse them (I have three) in water and then freeze. I wear one also andI turn it around so the largest part is on my back.

Gets hot when it dries
As long as you never let it dry while your dog is wearing it, this will keep them somewhat cool. It tends to make my dog itchy after a while, but he does have very sensitive skin. My biggest issues with this bandanna are the weak Velcro and the sizing. I have an 80lb German Shepherd, medium is way too small, but large big on his neck

Not worth it
I bought a small for my kitty. I understand it is made for dogs, so want going to fit the same. He cannot put his head down with it on. I believe because itâs the size for dogs. Nice idea, not good though. For one, I thought it was like the cooling blankets that are cool on their own. I had no idea you had to wet it. I could take a wash cloth, add Velcro and wet it and stick it in the fridge just as good as spend money on this! I donât want wet clothes on my cat. It was way too cold after being in the fridge as you would expect, and donât want that cold on him either! I had it out to dry for awhile. He came in and I tried it on him and he didnât mind which is surprising. I realize that I could even put it in his back and wrap it around his tummy like a blanket or jacket. That would be a good idea! Anyways, no bell inside it like a customer said. I donât know if it claims to, didnât see that. As I felt it, I believe itâs just material, noting cooling about it. Just wet material. DIY in my opinion. Thank you! I love the idea. Just needs improvement. Cool without wetting and fridge use! That would be my suggestion!Unfortunately while waiting for it to dry, I forgot to return it in time for a refund.

Doesn’t stay cold for very long.
I live in the extreme heat of AZ, and have bought a few of the All Paws Cooling Chill Out bandanas. They stay cold for a while, but tend to dry out quickly, and after a few uses the velcro came apart. This time around I purchased the Expawlorer Bandana, seems to stay very cold and wet much longer and is stretchy which make them adjustable, all important features living in extreme temps.

Saved my dog from the unforgiving heat of Palm Springs in August!
This neck wrap is easy to put on with the Velcro design. Simply soak in the sink so the gel absorbs water then attach around the neck. I had owned one of these before but misplaced it in the house and was too lazy to look for it while packing for my trip. (Amazon prime saves my butt every time!) This second time around I bought 2 different brands at the same time, but found this one more convenient and practical so haven’t used much the other which seems like nothing more than a wet piece of cloth (this brand has some kind of gel- I am assuming similar to the ones that I use myself and by the military) I especially like the shape which allows the thicker part to lay on her shoulders whereas the bandana style cloths are just a ring around the neck. I would occasionally pour some more water on it as needed when hiking and it has helped tremendously walking around here in Palm Springs which so far has averaged between 104-115 degrees which is supposedly cooler than normal at this time of year ha ha (I had to carry her when I felt the pavement was too hot downtown though-no worries!)

Decent Product, Bad Quality, Don’t Buy, Waste of Money
The bandana does help to cool my dogs down and its a decent product however I only used it 2 times and when I went to separate the velcro from its opposing part, the velcro stitching came off the entire bandana. Now the bandana is rendered useless unless I go out of my way to stitch it back on, which I shouldn’t have to do. Wasted my money.I haven’t tried it yet, but I think a regular bandana frozen in the freezer and then tied around a dog’s neck would probably achieve the same effect.

A must have for hot summer days. We bought this for boating excursions, and itâs awesome we could just take it off, dunk it in the lake and it will chill right back down again!

I bought this for my Pomeranian (size small). At first I thought my dog would pull it off but she didnât mind it at all. Itâs been extremely hot where I live and Iâve noticed my dog doesnât pant as much with her bandana on. Stays wet for a long time. Highly recommend it.

I think these are a great idea for the warmer days. My Frenchie gets hot easily so this will be used as quick cool down on those days. Iâm happy with my purchase. However I bought it early ready for Summer and still waiting for those warmer days to truly test it
