Customers say

Customers find these freeze-dried chicken treats delicious and appreciate that they contain only one ingredient, making them suitable for picky eaters and training sessions. The size receives mixed feedback – while some find the pieces too big for small dogs, others note the bags are smaller than expected. Customers disagree on the value for money, with some considering it great value while others find it overpriced. The breakability and smell also get mixed reviews, with some finding them consistent in quality while others say they crumble easily, and while some enjoy the smell and taste, others find them rancid-smelling.

    5/5 Paws Up From Maxwell
When it comes to rewarding my dog, Maxwell, I’m always on the hunt for treats that are both healthy and irresistible. The Wag Freeze-Dried Raw Single Ingredient Dog Treats in Lamb Liver have quickly become a household favorite. Pure & Simple IngredientsWith just one ingredient—100% lamb liver—I know exactly what Maxwell is munching on. It’s free from fillers, preservatives, or artificial flavors, making it perfect for dogs with sensitive stomachs or allergies.Nutrient-Dense & HealthyPacked with protein and essential nutrients, these treats support Maxwell’s energy levels during our long hikes and keep his coat looking shiny and healthy. Perfect Size & TextureThe freeze-dried texture makes these treats lightweight and easy to break into smaller pieces. They’re ideal for training or just spoiling Maxwell without overindulging. Unbeatable TasteMaxwell’s reaction says it all—he’s absolutely obsessed! The moment I open the bag, his tail wags furiously, and he sits attentively, waiting for his treat. The Wag Freeze-Dried Raw Lamb Liver Treats have become a staple in Maxwell’s routine. They’re guilt-free for me to give and a delicious reward for him. I highly recommend these to any pet parent looking for a high-quality, single-ingredient treat that your dog will go crazy

    Our dogs love these.
Our dogs choose these snacks over most of the others!! Their other favorite is the amazon brand human grade pumpkin chia paw shaped treats! These feeeze-dried treats are very healthy and should not make your dog gain any weight, like most other treats, that are full of preservatives and other bad stuff like salt. They are not really soft but the dogs don’t seem to mind as they gobble them up. My 1 and only gripe is the price is too high so we haven’t purchased any for months.

Our dog goes nuts for these
I have a very spoiled, picky eater little Toy Fox Terrier & simply put, he goes nuts for these. Great for training or for rewarding with a treat, they’re cut into smallish cubes so can use multiple pieces even with small dogs & are easy enough to break. They do stink a little bit but no worse than any other similar type treats. Also the ingredients don’t have a ton of junk in them & as our pup has a very touchy belly, that these treats don’t upset his stomach are all the proof I need… They’re high protein/calorie so likely not best for daily use but for sure are a favorite special treat for our dog.

May come crushed, repurpose as food topper UPDATE at bottom
When a friend of the family passed away, I took in his ancient, 15 year old dog. She was constantly scratching, chewing, and licking herself in an unhealthy, obsessive manner. After the normal bathing and checking for fleas (she had none), I took her into the vet who told me she may be allergic to corn. So I bought the Wag brand freeze dried dog treats in chicken and beef liver to try to move away from dog treats/food with corn to see if that helps her. This has ratings for flavor, scent, and value for money, so I’ll cover them first.Flavor: must be pretty good because both my young dog and my adopted ancient one love them.Scent: both dogs get super excited for treats, and it could be simply that these are new to them, but it seems like they get extra excited when I open these bags. I believe it is safe to say they smell the meat content when I open them. The scent is mild to my nose, not unpleasantly obtrusive like some dog treats.Value for money: this is a freeze dried meat only product, so it is going to be more expensive. I got a deal on the 3 oz bags, so for me it was worth a try, but be prepared to dig deeply into your pockets if you intend to switch completely over to this type of food and treats, because as of right now it is a little over $3 an ounce for these. That being said, I bought several different bags of treats and they all shipped together in one package. When I opened said box, I noticed the chicken one was kind of crushed and mostly crumbles while the beef liver one still had whole chunk cubes. It appeared that perhaps the other container of treats bounced around in the box and pulverized the chicken treats. Now I could still utilize this chicken dust as a food topper and mix it in with the dog kibble, but I ordered treats, so I contacted Amazon to let them know about the situation and they stated they would forward the information and feedback to the appropriate party. In the meantime I got a replacement to be shipped separately. Spoiler alert, it also came as chicken dust, so IDK maybe that whole batch has been damaged, or could be that the chicken just doesn’t hold its shape as well / it is more delicate, or perhaps shipping is way too rough with the packages….So if you are wanting to be able to hand feed your dog whole chunks as a treat, you might want to find these in a physical store to inspect the package prior to purchasing it. Otherwise you might inadvertently get a food topper instead.TL;DR Dogs love these, but buy in store if you want whole treats instead of treat dust.UPDATE: after a little more research into freeze dried food, I learned that a lot of freeze dried foods are meant to be rehydrated for consumption. So if you take these and soak them in a bit of water for a few minutes it will reconstitute the meat to a soft raw form. When I tried it with these, the bigger liver chunks were still kind of dry and firm in the middle, but the littler chicken pieces quickly became very sloppy. Be prepared to have your dogs waiting impatiently for you to give them their bowls when you are rehydrating these. Considering this is technically a raw product be sure to wash your hands and the dog dishes after they consume the treat. (Even though mine polished the metal bowls long after the food was gone 😂 so they must really like it)
