Helps my plants quality of life tremendously
These root tabs have helped my plants health, growth rate, and overall quality, tremendously. As soon as I put these tabs in my sand/soil, just days later I noticed new growth, my plants got greener & healthier, and they’re incredibly easy to use. It is a very good price for the product and I will be buying again. I put them in a month or two ago, and my plants are still growing and looking as healthy as ever. Before these tabs, they stayed the same size, and was just slowly turning brown as the months went by, i’ve always struggled with plants but these made a huge difference. I will be buying again

Clouding comments
Read previous reviews. I have 2 fish tanks, a 5 gallon and a 10 gallon. After reading the previous reviews, I only placed a single tab in each. The 10 gallon did not cloud at all. The 5 gallon is heavily planted, did cloud a bit, but cleared up in about 15 minutes. Will wait a week before placing a new tab, just tried today so no comment about how well they work

I like how you just place them near the planted plants and let it do its job. My plants are super green they look great. Doesnât spike my parameters either great value for your money because it comes with a lot. Most important my plants look healthy and green

Works good but inconvenient for replacement tab time.
I used these root tabs in my new 10 gal tank for some stem plants. The plants are doing well with a supplemental dose of Leaf Zone. However, I think that the value for this product is not worth it. While the tablets are large enough to chop up in half or even 3 pieces, $11 for 10 tablets struggles to beat Seachem’s $24 for 40 tablets (which are about the same size). I also find it inconvenient how much these dissolve in water– root tabs are meant to be replaced every few months, why make it hard to do so? I’ve tried making a straw contraption to help drop them into the substrate, but I shouldn’t have to. It’s not hard to coat them in a dissolvable exterior like most other tabs.

Wow! Noticeable difference within a week!
I bought these for a red tiger lotus in my betta’s tank. I’m using stratum as substrate which isn’t providing nutrients to the plant. You can see in the first pic that the leaves were tiny and really pale…almost translucent. I put a root tab under it and after a week I had big red leaves coming through. The second pic is about two weeks later and I’m just blown away by the color and size of the leaves now. It’s amazing seeing the growth with the root tab added.I’ve got a 10 gallon tank and only two root feeders so I’m only using two tablets. If you’ve got a heavily planted tank it says to use 1 tablet for every 30 sq. Inches…so it would take 6 tablets to cover all the substrate in a ten gallon.Idk how often these will need replaced but for my purposes of only a couple plants needing them, it’s a great buy and really happy with the results I’m seeing.Third pic is another week later and this thing is really showing itself now. Only thing I did to make it go from small and translucent to big and red is add a single root tab under it. Very happy with results!

They probably work fine but I’m pretty sure we hobbyists are getting massively ripped off (as usual) and they are probably making 50x the material cost. I took a point off because they start dissolving once you put them in the water. I accidentally splashed a tab with water and it was mush 30 seconds later so I couldn’t use it.

Produced very good results in my tank after just 2 days for new plants and 1 week for older plants recovering from melting process and growing back some new leaves. It helped my plants grow healthier after that. I only used them for 3 weeks, so I hope things will remain well. Previously, my plants nearly died because I used a different brand of root tabs. This product really saved my plants.

All my aquatic plants perked up and after a few weeks were so much bigger stronger and brighter colours, Mine were only in sand so there was no goodness in the substrate and these tabs appeared to give the plants everything they needed.

Not sure how it will work on my plants but it did make my aquarium water cloudy and brown. I have changed half tank water the next day after using this tabs. Hopefully cloudiness and discoloration will go away and wonât effect my fishes. Wonât buy it again
