Good water quality is the key to a healthy, beautiful aquarium/vivarium. Tap water contains chemicals, such as chlorine and chloramines, which make water safe for drinking, but are highly toxic to aquatic life. Tap water must be treated before adding aquatic turtles, newts, or aquatic frogs to make sure they remain healthy. API TURTLE WATER CONDITIONER makes tap water safe by removing chlorine and chloramines and detoxifying heavy metals. Use when setting up an aquarium or vivarium, and when adding or changing water. With API aquarium products, it’s easy to keep a beautiful saltwater, freshwater or reef aquarium. For almost 60 years API has developed premium solutions with proven and effective results for your family and ours. API offers a range of testing kits, water conditioners, and nutritionally superior food, because we’re dedicated to making a better underwater world. They work to provide a safe, hospitable environment for fish such as tropical community fish, cichlids, goldfish and more. At API, we understand the rewards and relaxation of fishkeeping because we have a passion for fish too.

The only one I use for the Florida softshell turtle since he was a wee baby
This stuff is great. It makes the water acceptable when testing. Ph is good and the water stays clear. Make sure youâre doing your water changes regularly for the turtles. Theyâre a hardy group. Healthy and happy you must keep them, because they are quite sensitive to bad water and filth. Good chemicals and the only one that I can recommend without any downsides in my experience.

Healthy Solution for the Reptile
A healthy means to keep tap water suitable for the turtle. Critter seems happier with the treated water instead of straight tap water,.

Our turtle needs healthy water
I am assuming that this product works well. Cannot ask her turtle but he seems to be quite happy swimming around in his tank. We cannot afford to buy distilled water and purified water to fill a 75 gallon tank so purifying the water with this works well and is very affordable. Thank you for a great product.

When I opened the cap, I noticed the seal was already broken. Half of the product leaked out and soaked the box
