Worth it
Looks great in my 39 gallon bow front aquarium. Even a couple of months later, it still is holding up the same as it was brand new. My Catfish love it, way better than gravel

Used in all aquariums
Iâve used this in all of my aquariums & mixed with pool filter sand. I have 20, 29, 75 and 150g tanks. In the 75g Iâm pretty sure I used 3 bags of this. In the 29g, I used 1 bag but my bottom substrate is coarse rock. I like the mix this with the white sand so my tanks donât look dirty. I have a lot of bottom feeders (corydora, pleco, algae eaters, kuhli loaches) and they all dig in it, bury, etc.

Debris & color
I originally only got this sand for the plants I have coming in, BUT, it was practically so pitch black with shimmers of gold, silver, and white specks, Iâm getting off track, but it goes great for their sinking foods, wonât have to worry about it leftover food in the tank any longer
Really makes bright fish pop even more, and hopefully this will help my plecos keep their dark colors, love it all around. It did take a good while to clean, and I still did not clean it enough, stood for a good hour and a half. I was also clearing all the water out of the tank, saved over half the original tank water in buckets with the fish and plants. Water is cleared up of majority of the debris within 5 hours, Iâm sure by the morning time it will be completely clear.
And thereâs so many people getting different colors in their rocks, I guess you just gotta cross your fingers, and hope you get one that you like. Seen somebody got a bunch of brown in theirs, some had red, and others were just multicolored.

Rinse, rinse, rinse…
Looks good after many rinses. I had to rinse each bag with over 50 gallons of water just to get it to stop clouding the water.

Pretty
I got two bags of this, they were a little heavy but it looks great in my tank. Before you put it in the tank you should always rinse sand until clear

Has floating pieces sometimes
Very good aesthetic look just has some floaters sometimes

Really good quality
I use this sand to make incense bowls. It is of really fine grit and holds an incense burning block/stick in place. This is my second purchase, the first being only 5 pounds.
