Hygger CO2 aquarium soil contains natural humus and rich nutrients, including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, etc. It has long-lasting fertility and is an important matrix for aquatic plants and aquascaping. In addition, aquasoil can absorb nitrite and other substances that are harmful to fish and shrimp, providing a natural habitat for fish and shrimp.
Water grass mud is sintered from natural soil, with good water permeability, and its porous structure provides a habitat for microorganisms and bacteria. It has good acid reduction and water softening properties, which helps to create water conditions suitable for the growth of most water plants and maintain the stability of the water quality in the fish tank.
The texture of aquatic plant soil is fine and not easy to scatter. When laid on the bottom of the aquarium, it not only provides a growth environment for live aquarium plants, promotes the photosynthesis of aquarium grass and makes them grow more luxuriantly, but also increases the ornamental value of the aquarium and creates a beautiful fish tank landscape. It is the best choice for aquascaping of water plant tanks.
This product is harmless to fish and aquatic plants, but for safety reasons, it is recommended to change the water once a day for 3 to 5 days after setting up the fish tank, and ensure that the water is changed at least 3 times before adding aquatic organisms. If the aquarium is already established and contains fish or shrimp, avoid adding aquarium soil directly. The initial nutrient levels in the substrate are relatively high, which might cause stress to the aquatic inhabitants.
Hygger CO2 aquatic soil particles are about 3-5mm, which is of moderate size, ensuring good air permeability and providing stable support for the roots of live aquarium plants. This product has been specially treated to prevent pulverization and maintain the stability and permeability of the substrate. If the product is damaged during transportation, please contact us for after sales. We will do our best to ensure that you have a pleasant shopping experience.
Warm tips: Aquarium soil should be directly poured into the fish tank for use, and must not be rinsed with water! Washing the aquarium soil may rinse away the beneficial microorganisms in the aqua soil and could also cause it to break down into mud, making it dirtier the more you wash it. Therefore, do not wash the aquarium soil!In addition, the water may be a little cloudy for the first time use, which is normal. You can use filter cotton to speed up the clarification of water.

usable in already set up tank.
This stuff is great if you have already set up your tank and need to put in more soil. Doesn’t cloud the water and fills in the places you want it to go easily. No need to break down your tank.

Don’t but it , killing fishes
This product killed all my baby fish I raise over 3 months, After using this product for three days, I saw that all my fish babies died this morning. After this product was paved and added with water, there were baby white wax-like things floating on it. The aquatic mud I bought before wouldn’t have this problem, and it germinated after planting it for two days. I didn’t see my aquatic plants germinate for three days after buying this aquatic mud, and I also saw that 10 of my fish babies died . This product should contain chemicals or something unsuitable for fish survival.don’t buy it and the seller have to return my money back, it is so said and wasted my my time to use it to set up my tank

Great substrate, easy to use, very clean, looks great!
I upgraded my tank to a larger 10-gallon size and this Hygger aquarium substrate worked great for my tank. I’d highly recommend it!Cleanliness: Right out of the bag, the substrate was fairly clear of particulates but I still decided to cycle the water a few times just for my fish’s safety.Quantity: The amount of substrate was as advertised, with the bag weight just slightly above the advertised 6.6 pound quantity. The back of the bag has a table specifying the quantity needed for tanks of different sizes and it specified this bag would be enough for a 20 gallon tank; however I found it to be just enough for my 10 gallon tank so if you have a larger tank you may need multiple bags unless you’re also using other substrate layers such as soil.Appearance: The color of the substrate is as advertised. Unlike some of the other rock substrates I’ve had, I was surprised to see that the color was fairly consistent between the dry and wet substrate.Tank design: I really like the look of this substrate in my tank; the contrast between the black substrate and my green plants and brown driftwood looks very clean. The black substrate also helps visually bring out the color in my fish, snails, and shrimp which were harder to spot when I had a mixed-color substrate.

    Good substrate
You don’t have to rinse it before putting it in the tank. Plants are doing well in the soil.

    Easy Fix
I’m new at this – I haven’t had an aquarium since I was 10. I’m actually trying to make a gardenscape fountain in an aquarium. I had no idea how to add plants to the tiny river without constantly clogging the filter with dirt & debris. This stuff fixed everything. The fountain only flows with a mild current. So far so good! I didn’t know it’d be such an easy fix.

    Disappointed
Need to rinse a lot of times before adding to aquarium even thought it says you don’t have to rinse it on package. Made a cloud of brown at top of water and made a brown cloud every time I messed with it to plant plants then I tried removing product and rinsing it over and over could never get the brown water to clear up and made the bottom of my tank look like muddy water nasty very disappointed.

Full of super fine dust that will choke fish, unlike the product says it needs to be washed
The no rinse no dust substrate was full of dust and needed to be washed. Used a pipe to slowly add to an established tank to bury some new plants, it turned my water into a black cloud and killed fish
