Worked great for small school of tetras
This product has been great for me! The filter works, and the tank has never leaked. The light works. The filter is quiet as long as you keep the water level in the tank high. It was easy for me to set up. Worked great for my small school of tetras in a college dorm (where 10 gal is the maximum size allowed). I actually broke mine (completely my own fault, but it did survive moving in and out of the dorm several times before that, so pretty sturdy), and bought an identical tank because I am happy with it. The set up worked so well I managed to accidentally have two batches of tetra babies.

Great tank for the price
I had the tank now for 4 months. It works as it should. No issues. Fish seem happy. Filter system is quite. I would recommend this tank set up. Edit: 1 year later the tank is still great. I did however have to replace the lid. The lights stopped working. I couldn’t get them to work. So I ordered a new lid with light. Other than that no issues with the tank, filter or heater.

The tank came quickly and was well packed. Everything was great and instructions were easy to follow. The heater wasnât working but Amazon took care of me with that mater quickly. Itâs made of good quality and made to last. My fish love the tank. As well as my kids enjoy seeing the fish. The pump is quiet and the filter works great. Highly recommended ! The size was just right. Also the lid and l.e.d lighting are great!

Great First Tank
My 6yo got sea monkeys for Christmas and I got weirded out so I told her she could get some fish instead. I had a goldfish in a tiny bowl when I was a kid so I figured thatâs what I would do for her. Times have changed. I visited Petco and they said I had to get a tank and set it up over about 2-3wks before I could get fish. I didnât believe them and thought theyâre stuff was way too expensive, so I bought this bundle on Amazon for $99 and headed to my local fish store. Setup was super easy and our Harlequin raspboras are very happy. The kit comes with conditioner and food, but we only use the food because they seem to like it. I got the water conditioner, stabilizer, decorations and gravel from the fish store because I didnât feel comfortable ordering that stuff online. It is a process, so Iâm glad that I got professional help. They helped me out with initial water setup and then adding the fish, but it only took 48hrs to setup, vs. Petcoâs 2-3wks which is ridiculous. Make sure you either get help from professionals or do your research when buying fish. Not all species do well with startup tanks and you do have to cycle the water before adding any additional fish so itâs not toxic, but the bundle itself was a great start.

great kit! arrived broken
My kit arrived with the aquarium glass broken in multiple places. Amazon refunded me the entire amount which allowed me to buy the tank locally. I used the remaining parts that were not broken and have a nice tank set up (10 gallon). If you have kids or are just looking to set up your first tank, this is the way to go. It also came with water conditioner, which was really helpful because I could get everything set up and condition the water right away to add creatures relatively quickly. The LED lights are built into the lid and the filter system and heater column are all there too. Definitely pay attention to the directions for submerging the heater for 30 minutes before turning on, and rinsing the charcoal filter, etc. We followed the directions to a “t” and didn’t have a single issue once we bought the glass tank local. Definitely worth the money to get the inclusive kit, so you don’t have to guess and piece together. It would have cost a lot more if buying pieces separately.
Thank you Amazon for the refund due to broken glass – as a long time Prime member who orders things weekly, this was a great nice-to-have from a big corporation. Did not go unappreciated.

Not the best beginner tank; Beware
This is the first week with new tank. The heater that came with the tank would consistently turn off/on depending on if you moved the cord or just looked at it. So we threw that away. Luckily we had a heater from our last tank. There is A LOT of glue all over the tank. It is not the prettiest. I will say that so far the pump is quiet and I did not have any leaks. I wish that the cover would be easier to open and not just one giant piece of plastic when I need to get into it. I also wish it had more light options. For a beginner tank, there should be options for light for different fish, especially for the kiddos to see/use. I ended up buying an additional light since we had glo fish. All in all it really isnât a great beginner tank. Broken pieces and too simplistic lighting. I’d rather spend a little more money and get something better.

Definitely not acceptable for a fish tank kit where the filter just suddenly stopped working after only 5 months. Have to find an emergency solution for my fish and shimps in the tank before the replacement filter comes. Not recommending buying from Aqueon.

Me gusto, hermoso, el agua se ve muy clara, las luces da un toque vivido. El calentador por vivir en Cancún y estar ahora a los 30 grados Celsius no se lo puesto. El termómetro es una calcomanÃa. Las instrucciones vienen en inglés. La bomba de filtración no es ruidoso. Se requiere dos enchufes, una para el filtro de cascada y otra para la tapa con luz led que trae un botón de encendido y apagado. Trae todo lo indicado en el kit. Cómo trae solo un cartucho de carbón activo y una esponja para el control del amoniaco, he comprado mas a parte porque deben ser reemplazados cada mes. La arena, plantas y accesorios de mi pecera fueron comprados a parte. Ampliamente lo recomiendo.
