all my big cichlids love love LOVE this
I have a cichlid pond with some big guys (e.g., Oscar, Vieja, Flowerhorn, large Blood Parrots, etc), few more mediums (e.g., Jack Dempsey, EB Acaras, Geoophagus, etc) and the ever thriving population of Convicts and Polar Parrots who have lived and interbred in that pond way longer than the 10 years iâve owned it. They came with the house lol and they are extremely fun to watch because theyâre clinically insane, but I wanted some bigger guys because Iâve never had the opportunity to keep such big fish in a large enough tank.ANYWAY I got this for the big guys so they would get a more balanced (and exciting) diet than the pellets that I normally feed everyone else. what I do is I drop enough of these in before their meal so they (big & medium guys) can have an appetizer while Iâm giving the smaller fish and whatever fry is currently present the smaller pellets on the other side of the pond. I feel good feeding them these because theyâre literally freeze dried bugs which is natural for them to eat and full of protein. Also convenient distraction for the bigger fish while giving the smaller fish a chance to eat peacefully. I wish they werenât $10/piece because they add up to be more than their actual staple food pellets for the whole month but ð¤·ð»ââï¸ it makes them happy and thatâs the responsibility I took on.edit 1/22/25: so came on here to buy my weekly bag and much to my surprise. The price is shut up to $15. And then a two pack or 30. I feel like thatâs a bit ridiculous but nevertheless, it is still my fishâs favorite food so not sure what to do about this! I saw that it said $15 for 7 ounces and I know the bags are only 3.5 so first I just thought they put them in bigger bags double the size. So I took a chance and ordered it knowing I could get refunded easily thatâs not the issue. anyway, today came their normal 3.5 ounce bag so I called Customer Service and got my refund like the gentleman the night before promised if it ended up being âfalse advertising âanyway, long story short, not sure how long that typo has been there, but it is absolutely not 7 ounces⦠It is only 3.5 ounces⦠And why they more than double the price overnight I cannot possibly imagine. These were literally 799 last week and now they are 1599. Iâve noticed over the years that Fish food fluctuates wildly as far as the price, and changes like this are usually temporary, so Iâm just going to nurse the bag that I have and wait for the price to come back down based on the reviews everyone left it does not sound like anyone will be thrilled about the price double so hopefully Aqueon gets the message and puts the price back to 799. I have also been looking for something different in the meantime, but all I can find are âsticksâ that are allegedly equivalent to live feeding. At first, it was just my Oscar and my EB Acaras that ate these, but now itâs literally everyone racing to the top to grab a bite., so I need to figure something out because this price is insane.

Fish Love It
Out of all the foods Iâve tried, my fish absolutely go crazy for this dried food. The bag lasts me about 2â3 months, even with several large fish, making it well worth the price for the quantity you get. This food is specifically designed for medium to large cichlids and is made from all-natural ingredients, which gives me peace of mind knowing Iâm providing them with high-quality nutrition instead of low-grade fillers. Highly recommend for cichlid owners!

My Oscar Loves Them!
I have a full grown Oscar that I have had for going on 3 years now. He was getting less colorful and some sores on his body, figured it was because of bad nutrition. I wanted to substitute his diet with some things he would eat if he were in nature. Snagged these and let him try and he was skeptical at first but now if I put pellets and these in the tank he goes for these first. Heâs much healthier and happier now.
