Sometimes in shipping, the flakes can get broken up and the food becomes like powder. This did not happen with this product. The product was brand new and just like you bought it in a pet store.

The fish like to eat it. The fish don’t die. There isn’t much to say here. None of my tropical species fish shy awa from the stuff and none of them have had health issues from using it as their primary food. The only downside is how messy it can be if you overfeed or feed near the side of the tank (can stick to glass easily). I prefer flakes by a little bit but they are more expensive.
