    Sink or Float
Some of the pellets float, some sink. That works for my Angelfish because it sometimes he/she likes to eat at the top of the tank, and later I catch him/her digging in the substrate, find a pellet and eat it. It gives the fish something to eat later and something to do since it’s solo.

    My larger fish love them.
While my larger fish love them. Even smaller tetras and such will attempt to eat one and carry it around in their mouths (too big for them to swallow) being chased by their peers all over the tank. My gouramis love these. I have comical Kuhli loaches that can’t eat these on their own, but will follow under the gourami who eventually breaks them up and spits some out much to the enjoyment of the loaches who take advantage of the Gouramis wasteful eating habits. These are great for cichlids or gouramis and large fish that can consume these whole. Smaller fish will want them but just can’t swallow them so don’t feed more than your larger fish will quickly consume as they do become foul to them within an hour or two after submerging.

Good food, good price, its small pellets not granules
“”Granules are small, round pieces of something. She was spooning coffee granules into cups.Synonyms: grain, scrap, molecule, particle More Synonyms…”” I’m a Fisheries Biologist with 50 years experience in the Tropical Fish Business, and a few college level courses on “Fish Nutrition” with the great Dr. John Halver, discoverer of the vitamin C requirement for salmonids. “Aqueon Tropical Granules 6.5 Ounces” are not granules these are common small pellets. In the pet industry ‘granules’ are small random bits of fish food, not perfectly formed pellets. Ok this is a small difference to most, but I just ordered 4 jars of this on special about half price for my customers who use ‘granules’. Perhaps Aqueon will correct the labeling. Its good food for many fish 2inches to 4 inches, or small tetras with sharp teeth. Remember Piranhas and Neon Tetras have the same shape teeth and jaw muscles. That’s why tiny tetras can eat big pellets. The ingredients are typical of many mid price fish foods. These jars are fresh, which may be more important than exotic ingredients like Krill or Mysids. Don’t forget “If fish food smells like oil paint, it is rancid”. Thank you Dr. Halver.

    My Fish are healthy
I have had lots of tanks for years. I love this food, because it has great nutrition but also cause I’m lazy. I don’t turn off the filter during feedings, I just drop this food on the opposite side. Most of it sinks and it also slows the fish down because it gets soft slowly. I have small tropical fish, Mollies, Platies, Rams and Cichlids. It’s a hard round food, not for all fish mouths.

Fish are meh with this food.
My guppies do not seem excited about this food. They are hesitant to eat it, and do not get excited like they do with brine shrimp flakes or bloodworms.

Too large for all but large female Endlers.
As title states, too large for most of my Endlers. Still a quality bulk food to mix in with others. Bought flake to replace this and and feeding this to my loaches as treats.

Granules are too big for my mollies, I crash them to make them smaller. They are probably tasty bc my fishs love them.

These do not slow sink…in fact, they don’t sink at all. They are floating pellets.
