Not bad, but needs a real app.
Some of you may be wondering, what on earth is a “#2 battery”, as stated in the description: “…and you can also use three #2 batteries (not included in the package) as a backup…”. Since there is no such thing anywhere on earth as a “#2 battery”, I’m sure you’re as curious as I was just exactly what that is.Upon removing this from the box today and seeking out exactly that information, I found that it actually requires (if you want it to have battery backup, anyway) 3 C batteries. I have no idea where they got “#2 batteries” from, apparently, it’s just made up…but know that it takes 3 C batteries for backup. Amazon sells many varieties, perhaps order them with the feeder?Overall, I like this feeder a lot, as it’s aesthetically pleasing, has a decent size reservoir, seems well made, and works ok, so far anyway. I’m also a big fan of the battery backup. Of course, there’s the camera and laser, but let’s talk about the app for a second.This pet feeder doesn’t use a dedicated app programmed and controlled by the company. It uses an “aggregate app” called “Tuya”, which many companies use so they can avoid the cost of developing their own application. There are SERIOUS security concerns with “Tuya”. If you would like to explore these concerns for yourself, simply Google “Tuya app security concerns”, and Google will lay it out for you. Personally, if I had known this used “Tuya”, I might have gone another direction. Just know that if you’re “security conscious”, you might want to avoid anything that uses “Tuya” completely.I highly recommend “Dec-Mec” accept the expense of coding a dedicated app rather than avoiding it via “Tuya”.The rest is ok, really, quality wise. But I’m quite “security conscious”, so I’m personally going to shelve this feeder until they release their own app that doesn’t have any security or privacy concerns.

Excellent product!
I have very much enjoyed having this automatic pet feeder/camera. It has been super helpful to automatically feed my cat and also a great way to check in her with the video. My cat ate out of it right away and wasnt scared at all. I should say my cat is elderly and def so that may be a reason she doesnt mind it. It doesnt make a lot of noise when feeding dispenses anyway. It was super easy to setup. It comes with an app that is easy enough to figure out. You have the ability to setup feeding schedules in the app. The feeding schedules can be easily changed and even turned off. I added in a bunch of schedules to test and can turn them on and off easily with a quick button swipe. The interface is nice but I wish that the camera moved side to side. Mine only moves up and down. There is a way to pay a subscription fee to keep video history, but I already have another camera in my cats room so didnt need it. The feeder itself is sturdy and the bin to keep the food is airtight. It comes with a stainless steel dish that locks in the feeder which is tricky to get out sometimes. I wish it was easier to get in and out but locks in well so that is good for my cat. I wish it came with a second dish as I like to have the option to put it in the dishwasher. I have been manually cleaning it and it comes clean fast enough just a chore but at least I dont have to feed her several times a day now. Overall, super happy with this and very grateful to have it. Would highly recommend!
