I was surprised to see it was cloth, but happy with the result when I applied it.
It is cloth. However, the print is excellent. Not blurry or pixelated at all. Bright and beautiful as one would hope. I doubt putting a cloth background on an aquarium would work in the long run, but for my terrarium, it is perfect. I am very pleased. It looks great.

Not actually 72 inches long
I have a 6 ft long tank, so I got this background, even though I wasn’t sure if I would like it since it’s cloth, and previous backgrounds have been like a vinyl/window cling material.The picture/color quality seems good. There are folds as mentioned in the description, I have not tested out whether those can be removed yet.One thing I did notice though, when I did a test placement on my tank, is that the background doesn’t reach both ends of the tank. I would say it’s about an inch short, as I have a half inch of glass on each side that isn’t covered.I don’t think it’s a big enough deal for me to warrant returning it or complaining, but if it’s a big issue for you, you should know that in advance.Personally I don’t think they should advertise those measurements if they aren’t accurate.

i thought the material was going to be the ones you can add water to it and then stick it on like a sticker but itâs not. itâs a tapestry material.
