DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY
First off, the battery! The battery on this monitor will not last at all unless it is constantly plugged in! Once unplugged it dies immediately no matter how long itâs been charging! I sucked it up and just kept it plugged in at all times because it was only $40 and the quality essentially was not bad, but then I noticed after about a month of use the back was rising as if the monitor screen had been dropped. Well come to find out, the battery started expanding!! Iâm assuming this happened because of the constant charging, however it will not stay on any other way!! Overall would not recommend this solely because of the battery!! Also, on more than a few occasions the monitor randomly just shut off(even with being plugged into power source)! Iâve been woken up by my baby screaming next door and noticed the monitor was shut off! Just not a reliable monitor at all. Ended up just spending the extra money and getting a better brand.

Keep an eye on my daughter
clear view even in the dark it has night vision, perfect for my daughter when she sleeping or when playing alone in her room. I can speak to her through the screen and she can respond from the camera.

GREAT monitor but a couple quirksâ¦
Letâs start with the goodâ¦The video quality is BY FAR superior to other monitors on the market. Granted I have not tried and seen the âupscaleâ Nanit pro or monitors priced over $200. My budget was up to 200 and was not willing to spend $300-400 yet unless the lower priced ones were hopeless and horrible. I will say that I went through 5 different monitors ranging up to 200â¦this monitor was the lowest priced one when you factor in the 50% promo going on right now and BY FAR delivers THE BEST crispest video I could ask for. I was especially impressed with the night vision. Amazing! Crisp is the best word that comes to mind. I compared side by side with other more expensive monitors and it was superior by a long shot. Also, the screen sizeâ¦itâs huge. It looks bigger than the other 5inch monitors I had (or maybe they looked smaller I donât know). Another positive for me – the camera doesnât have any lights shining from it at night. Same of the other monitors have a bright red or green light (infrared?) that I found would distract my baby and honestly it sure if it was good for her eyes to be looking at itâ¦but how could you not? Itâs so bright. But this one has none of that. Now the badâ¦The battery life is awful. Itâs worse than most of the others. Even without having the screen on all the time (only coming on when the sound alarm is detected through the night) the monitor is fully dead when I wake up in the morning. VERY DISAPPOINTING. This is a huge negative for me that Iâm trying to figure out right now because Iâm not sure when it shut off but if itâs not going to work all night without being plugged in, whatâs the point? Also when the screen is not actively on, you canât hear anything. That actually makes the weak battery situation even worse because essentially the monitor is in sleep mode 95% of the nightâ¦why is it dying? For such a weak battery, I wanna at least HEAR my baby. There is a sound alarm like i mentioned earlier. I set it to medium and it beeps and turn the monitor on when my baby starts cryingâ¦Iâve caught it not turning on at times when it should so I donât feel great about this featureâ¦Iâm going to try it on the high setting and see how that goes. Also another negative – no motion detection. That seems like a pretty basic feature that almost every monitor hasâ¦and this one does not. Disappointing again. Lastly, when I first got thr monitor, it was black and white picture only and then suddenly the next day it displayed on color. I thought it was defective so I ordered a replacement and with the replacement there was immediately color so I thought great problem solvedâ¦but later that night it turned black and white again (in a highly well lit room)â¦the next day it started showing color again. 2 monitors same kind of issueâ¦I donât think itâs a coincidence. In summary, superior video quality, necessary features quirky and lacking. Terrible battery life.

Great little Monitor, No App Required!
Great little baby monitor. I use it for my pets, but I can see it working equally as good for Human babies. Easy to set up and use, just plug it in and you are set. Its great not having to keep the display plugged in all the time too. Night vision works good too!

Good but battery is garbage – READ IF YOURS DOESN’T TURN ON
NEW EDITLess than 6 months after purchase the battery is completely dead. The battery life kept on decreasing with use, to the point where it would not stay on for more than an hour at a time on a full charge. Combined with the fact that there is NO AUDIBLE LOW BATTERY WARNING, we were forced tk keep it plugged in every night. At this point the monitor does not turn on at all even while plugged into its charger. Huge design flaw.EDITED SINCE INITIAL REVIEW:I had received a defective unit, but not in the way I originally thought. Right out of the box the monitor would not turn on even after fully charging it, so I requested a replacement unit. I tried turning on the replacement and it didn’t turn on either. In disbelief, I looked at the button I was pressing… and it wasn’t the power button. I immediately knew something was off because I had checked the old unit over and over again and my muscle memory knew where the power button was.The picture says it all. The original defective unit had SWAPPED BUTTON COVERS! Instead of pressing the actual power button, I had been pressing the Vox button disguised as the power button. I still hadn’t returned the original unit so I long pressed the Vox button and it did turn on. Both units were fully functional, but the original had the wrong button covers. From reading other reviews, I suspect several other units are affected too!Anyway, this monitor has great picture quality, a good field of view, great range of panning, just wish we could turn off the screen and keep audio without having to rely on the Vox feature (its beeping noise can be annoying). Really good value for the price!
