I adopted a young GSD mix about 6 months ago and began to have issues where she’d pull out of her harness on walks and run away.Since I’ve been using this, she hasn’t be able to do this. It’s saved me so much stress, probably saved her life at this point, and also saved my neighbors from having to hear me scream bloody murder regularly.DEFINITELY get if your dog is an escape artist. It stops them entirely or at least gives you more time to get them under control without them getting out of the harness. Just make sure to tighten it and the harness on a regular basis so they can’t accidentally slip through.

I use this to do a safety attachment for my dog. Sheâs a new rescue with no recall skills yet, and she loves to run. I canât afford any slip ups. So I clip this extra piece to the end of the leash (down by the clasp) and then hook it to the big ring on her flat collar. So if the lead clasp gives, I have backup. I gave 4 stars not 5 because itâs a little heavy.
