2.5 gallon fish tank
I don’t have a fish to put in the tank yet, but I did clean everything as described in the instructions and let everything run for about a week. I like that it has rounded corners, is nicely sized, and looks nice in my living room as-is. I wasn’t sure about having an orange fish tank, but the color has grown on me. It was easy to set up, and the pump is quiet, not really any louder than the pump/water flow noise that my cat’s water fountain produces. Everything so far seems to be of good quality. I have yet to look up how much the replacement filters are, but will update if I think to do so when that time comes. It was also easy to disassemble and clean for storage until the perfect fish finds me.

Great little tank with a few caveats.
This is a perfect starter tank for getting into the hobby or even for just setting up a smaller breeder tank or plant propagation tank.I’m biased because I received this for free. So I feel the need to disclose the fact that I believe this tank is pretty expensive for what it is. You can definitely get a better tank (or a larger one) for cheaper. I think where this tank shines is for ABSOLUTE beginners with zero experience since it offers built in filtration and you don’t have to wonder about what you should or shouldn’t buy when setting up your first tank. That said: I again need to mention that NOBODY should be purchasing living organisms to house in an environment without the proper research beforehand. It is 100% worth the time to research filtration products and methods prior to buying an untested product.I’ve read others say that the filtration on this tank is bogus. I haven’t tested the filtration at length yet, but when I do, I’ll update this review. Also having owned a tank like this in the past, please be aware that if you have any small creatures (snails, shrimp, etc) they will be able to slide through the slits on the back wall where the filter is. They’ll probably be fine, but you’ll need to manually retrieve them. After all that, I still think it’s a good beginner tank. I plan to use this as a tank to breed Cherry Shrimp or grow aquatic plants. I wouldn’t recommend any tank of this size for anything other than a betta or a few small tetras.

CHEAP, poor design
For starters: Iâve had this tank about 15 days. There are no fish in the tank because it needs to cycle. However, I do have bioactive substrate capped with sand, then gravel. I have 1 Java fern, 1 Anubias, aquarium grass, & 3 stem plants. Again, no fish.Filter setup is atrocious. Intake to filter through the pad is at the top of the tank- there are also slits toward the bottom that allow water, that has not been filtered through the pad, into the area with filter balls. The filter balls catch nothing because the water is not being pulled. Itâs essentially just stagnant water. Thereâs no way to adjust output pressure on the filter itself, too much output/water flow is extremely stressful to some fish (specifically long, flowy finned fish like bettas). I tried using filter media in the output tube; it was clogged with gunk and stopped all flow within 4 hours. This tells me nothing is actually getting âfilteredâ, just moved at best. The lid is another issue. Only pieces of the lid can be removed, itâs a pain to work around. Almost $100 for this tank is a waste. There are WAY better options for the same price, if not cheaper. Donât waste your time/money like I did.

Nice Smaller Tank
I did get this tank specifically for a Beta fish. I have the same thoughts about the flow being to strong and no way to adjust it. Im not sure Id use this tank to put very many fish in it because Im just not sure about the filtration in this tank. Ill try it for a bit to see how well it actually is. I really want to like it but I do have mixed feelings about it but only time will tell. Overall, looks nice but will it filter correctly? Will have to wait and see. Overall, a bit pricey for what it is.

Very nice tank
This is such a nice little tank.I am very impressed with the quality of this little tank and the amount of extras that came with it. The tank is very thick and clear acrylic I honestly would expect to see this level of thickness on a much bigger tank. The filter area is large as well so can accommodate any type of filter media without having to be creative to get it to fit I have another tank like this and the media area is so small that I have to adjust and move things to get anything to fit if I am using more than one piece of media but this tank has lots of room for media and it looks like a lot of thought was as put into the making of this tank.I even like the orange color I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the orange but I do and it is tastefully done so it truly looks nice. This is a very nice little tank that is well-designed and high quality you will not be disappointed with it.

Works great as a Quarantine/Hospital tank!
I got this small aquarium specifically as a hospital tank for new or sick fish, and so far, itâs been working well for that purpose. The size is manageable, making it easy to set up and maintain without taking up too much space. The built-in three-stage filtration is a nice feature, helping keep the water clear, though I still do regular water changes since Iâm using it for quarantine. The lighting is decentânot too harsh, but bright enough to observe the fish and monitor their condition. I wouldnât use this as a permanent home for any fish, but for temporary isolation, it does the job.The description states there is a “Self-cleaning” function. However, I’m not exactly sure what that means. I dont see any ability to perform a “self-clean”. Maybe I’m just misunderstanding the terminology.Overall, if you need a simple, functional tank for short-term use, this works well. Itâs easy to set up, clean, and maintain, which is exactly what I need in a hospital tank.
