Novel and cute design; but runs a little smaller than anticipated
I ordered this item to use as a flight suit for my Green Cheek Conure, versus as a diaper in a size medium as recommended on the manufacturer website.The manufacturer does however market this item as a dual purpose diaper and flight suit and includes the suit, sanitary padding [goes inside the suit] and instructions.The suit appears to me to run a little small, and therefore I can not foresee this comfortably fitting nor suitable for my Conure to wear. Also, the cotton padding or sanitary padding provided sheds fairly ease similar to a cotton ball.I can appreciate the thought process of the manufacturer designing this suit to try to make the bird feel comfortable in this rather stiff suiting; but realistically this padding will shed all over the bird; in addition to smearing the poop on the birdâs feathers while wearing this item with these additional cotton pads.My recommendation to the manufacturer would simply be to redesign this suiting in a more breathable fabric that also has a washable inner lining.
