    AWESOME!!
My Indian Ringneck LOVES these things!! I put blocks, pieces of shredded toys such as coconut pieces or large pieces of toys such as Planet Pleasure’s Caterpillar. Basically, I put all kinds of things in there for him to chew and try to get at. It literally keeps him busy for hours at a time. This is too large for small birds such as cockatiels, green cheek conures or budgies (I have all of these species). It would be suitable for anything Indian Ringneck size or larger. It’s stainless steel so it cleans fairly easy – it’s only where there are intersecting bars that can be messy. But it’s a bird toy so if you have birds you already know how messy they are – this is NOT the messiest thing you will deal with. I also bought wooden beads and threw away the plastic ones that come on it. This is for larger birds and plastic should NEVER be part of parrot toys!!

    Great size and durability
This has been a great toy for our parrots. We added it to their play tree and we can change out the fresh fruit or nuts we put inside – sometimes we use tissue paper strips for them to play with, something we put pellets pressed into carboard pieces, etc. Anything to keep them entertained. It’s a great size for our African grey but our caique enjoys it too. Easy to clean up between play sessions and I LOVE that it’s refillable so we can change up their foraging habits.

    African Grey tested
My African Grey enjoys eating out of it. I also plan to use it to put small peices of wood and other “toys” for him to play with. He took right to it. Cleaning it is pretty easy as long as you clean it promptly.. if left overnight the foods a bit harder to scrub off. The chain it hangs from is very short but I’m kind of happy about that because I can hang it over his food bowl and that catches a lot of what he drops. I was disappointed that it did not come made with the red ball shown in the photo but instead a smaller white ball that I suspect my Grey will eventually break but that shouldn’t affect it’s functionality as the center post is completely threaded so it would just screw down further if the ball gets broken or lost. Opening and closing this is a bit tedious. The chain gets tangled and makes it a pain to take it on or off. Another pro to this is the bird would have to work relentlessly to open it himself because the screw is so long and requires so much turning to open or close. I think any bird would give up long before getting the top unscrewed. Overall I’m happy with the purchase and more importantly so is my Grey. Would recommend.

My macaw broke it the first day, and it is not usable.
The design is bad for large birds – they do not forage what’s inside, they unscrew and damage the bolts that hold it together. My macaw broke it almost immediately, and it is in the trash now.

    Great product needs strengthening
This has been a very good product for our macaw parrot, who can easily destroy most toys and feeders. This feeder particularly has been good although it does need to be reinforced with more strength, the top loop and one of the bottom loops that make up the cage have come undone, but we are still able to use it and it provides hours of good forging like feeding for our macaw parrot. Can easily put in an apple with peppers or grapes, and occupy his time for feeding.

    Bird approved
My bird seems to be scared of fruits and veggies when i try to hand it to her. For some reason she eats it when its hanging so I got her this product and holds sliced fruit and good size strawberry. I’d prefer if the spacing is a little smaller because she manages to grab the food of off the container and it falls off the cage. Once the food falls down her cage she ignores it. Otherwise she finds it “fun” to eat fruit/veggies that are hanging.

    Weak
Doesn’t hold up to parrots. Within hours they had the welds chewed apart.

    Awesome product!
My birds absolutely love this foraging cage with their vegetables! They don’t waste as much and it keeps them active and thinking!
