We purchased this to use for checking in on our dog when we are out of the house. We chose this one because it was inexpensive and offered two way video so he can see us. So far it works exactly for what we needed and we are very happy with it!

I got this for my mom so I can watch her and talk to her from work and other members able to see her it really helps cause if you see them getting up without help you can talk thru it, she donât use the call button or speaking into it but it is pretty neat when I tried it out if you wanted to watch your loved one or if they are ill and you do not want to be going in the room with them this is perfect to be able to see and talk to them I would differently purchase again as you see I. The photo the camera is awesome

Deceptive only one way video call
This product only has a one way video call or just like a regular camera , video doesnât show on screen unless you put a picture on it- donât be deceived

i think im spoiled by my iPhone but this feels like older tech
We have this set up for my elderly mother-in-law who’s at home all day by herself while the rest of the house is out to work. She can use the voice wake up and the name of the contact she wishes to reach and it calls out the contact via video and we can talk with each other like any other video call but this allows her to use the stationary device as her hub to call out.The voice wake up works pretty good. Id put it at 85-90% effective. Sometimes she has to say the name a few times before it calls. Sometimes it contacts the wrong person but it works.The calls themselves feel dated. I know the resolution is high on the hub but it really doesnt look as crisp or smooth as an iPhone 5G video call. But again, it does its job.Night vision is really nice. I dont know why I still expect nightvision to be like a video game from the mid 90s but anytime I can clearly see with decent nightvision my old man brain exclaims, “The Future is NOW!” But as my mother in law isnt typically trying to bump around the living room at night in the dark, its more a novelty.I think its good for what it does. Particularly if you dont have the latest iPhones or Samsung using 5G (or Google, whatever) this could be very helpful to you. Since this doesnt use 5G it makes me wonder if this is why the video calls look/sound a bit dated because we have very fast internet and everyones on 5G. But truly, this is nitpicky and if youre looking for a good connected device that multiple people can use to check in at home, either to connect with a person or just to look in on your home, this is a good device. Its no alarm system either but it can catch your cats having a party with her friends when the lights are out.
