Each pack weighs 2 oz. of stones, and when placed inside the tank, they slowly release calcium while dissolving. Turtles can ingest all the beneficial elements that will come out from our rocks to help their proper shell growth and development.

I use them in cherry shrimp tank to buffer the water and keep my kh from plummeting. I leave them in front of tank so I can see when they start dissolving in my very hard water.

Great calcium source for aquariums
I ordered these for my aquarium when I noticed my snails struggling – their shells were weakening and they seemed to be much less active than normal. An adequate replacement for cuttlefish bone (and much smaller), these calcium rocks serve the same purpose and have really improved quality of life for both my snails and shrimp. Reasonably priced for the amount received – enough calcium for my ten gallon tall tank with leftovers for replacement in a few months. Highly recommend for any tanks housing shelled animals.
